I just talked to Rita ... they're probably going to let her out of the clinic tomorrow. The swelling has gone down in her face considerably and Rita actually saw her this afternoon, and you can actually SEE her eyes and they are bright and clear.
they've documented that they've taken her out 3 times a day -- but she can't get a feel on how housetrained she is. But the foster Mom will be able to figure that in just a couple of days I hope. (fwiw - it's not that I don't want to housetrain a dog -- but her skin is so open and sore that it would be dangerous to her to be crated if she had messed in there -- I don't want to jeopardize her health that way and altho I could take a lunch break for a few weeks, it's not something I could do long term)
The bad news is that they can't prove ANY vaccines, and of course in order to fly she'd have to have vax. But, transport isn't going to be easy either because she's so immune-compromised. However, at least with American Airlines they won't require major health certification ... just "up to date" on shots. Now ... how long after the shots before she can fly is another question.
She hasn't gotten any answers yet from the vet on the meds she's on (Rimadyl for pain and I know the one antibiotic but no word on the amounts of ivermectin) nor about whether a culture was done on the ears.
Again, Rita was thrilled at how happy and bright she seemed -- she is eating good and generally is happy and playful which is awesome given how sick she is.
