This ticks me off!! You pick the jockey because of his ability as a horseman. He made a horseman decision the horse was not right. So nothing was physically wrong, that is besides the point. The jockey could "feel" what the horse was doing. ARGH!!!!! I would pick that jockey in a heartbeat because he put the horse first, as it should be.

Riiiight!  Like any jockey wouldn't give his right leg to ride a triple crown winner across the finish line and would deliberately do something to screw that up.  And if Rick Dutrow really believes that, why would he indicate that he'd have no problem letting him ride his horse in the next race? He's darn lucky he had a jockey that cared more for the well being of the horse than the win or there could very well have been another Eight Belles incident.

Back a few posts but I just wanted to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE the movie Phar Lap.  I saw it a hundred times when I was a young teen and cried and cried and cried each time I saw it.  GREAT MOVIE. 

Dutrow ought to shut his mouth.  He made an idiot of himself with his statement about there being "no way" Big Brown could lose.  Now he's having a public tantrum.  I don't care if he is a good trainer (I don't know one way or the other), but if I were an owner, I'd seriously re-think having the pompous jerk handling my horse.
