    Sweet! Teddy Ruxpin!

Does anyone remember a show called The Pound Puppies? I think that's the name of it. Anyways it was about a group of dogs that kept getting in to the pound but escaped all the time. I've got a toy around here I'm gonna fix up and give to my stepnephew for christmas. Sadly he doesn't talk anymore but still!

I'm gonna see if I can find a picture..

(Edit: I FOUND THEM! Lol. I've got the dog in the middle with the blue coat that I'm fixing up..)

I also used to watch The Pink Panther! It popped into my head yesterday for no reason, while driving, lol....who ever heard of a PINK panther? Cartoons do stretch the limits of reality, I guess that's one of the reasons I enjoy them so much and they just really tickle my funny bone.

Not a cartoon but anyone ever watch The Magic Garden?  You guys have brought back some fond memories!  lol... My little pony.  I still have some of those!

Ha ha!  "The Pink Panther" is a film about a diamond that goes missing and Inspector Clueseau (sp?) has to track down the thief.  The flaw at the centre of the diamond looks like a pink panther, hence the name.  The cartoon version of the pink panther appeared as a short animation at the beginning of the fim and that's where the cartoon series came from.  So it's not QUITE as bizarre as it seems.... My DH LOVES the Pink Panther.  Peter Sellers just cracks him up.

I thought of another one!  Stop It and Tidy Up!  Does anyone else remember that one, where all the characters names are the sort of things grown ups say to little kids eg "Stop It" and "Tidy Up" and the big bad "I Said No" and the little dog "Now Now". And they all live in the land of Do As You Are Told.  Anyone??!!!!

Edit to add - its a UK thing.  Here you go, if anyones interested...

I knew about the rest (movie, cartoon at beginning, Inspector Clouseau, etc) but don't remember this awesome tidbit at all...hah-hah, totally cool, thanks! I enjoy Peter Sellers, too!

Edit: Inspector Clouseau has his own website!

If we're talking Huckleberry and Deputy Dawg .. let's not furget

    Rico-chettttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt RABBIT!!!! (Bing ... bing ... BINGGGG!)

and let's not forget Mighty Mouse ... (the originall - not the Bakshi version)

You forgot to mention Pixie and Dixie and then Mr. Jinx...I remember when I was a child, my brother and I had Pixie and Dixie stuff toys.  One mouse wore a vest while the other wore a bow tie.....now which was which....Pixie had the bow tie and Dixie had the vest...or was it the other way around.  Thats right....Dixie had the vest and Pixie had the bow tie.
