Why do people get offended so easily.  It could be my generation as I am only 27 but don't you remember the old saying.  Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me.  I know it's a old saying but it's true why waste your time worrying over something that wasn't meant to be offensive. Go love your dog!

Good post, Seriously, I'm Irish and I thought it was hilarious!

    They forgot the Siberian Husky.

"I'll run to the store and get one  (1 minute later) I'm back. But now I want to run around the yard with it and you've got to catch me."

Dobermans: Well, just one, but be prepared to come home to find the house completely rewired and the furniture probably rearranged to boot!

I'm pretty sure that this is about how Bevo would handle the entire situation.  I personally think that this is really funny.

As for the Irish, alcoholism is worldwide. Not just in Ireland. I bet every single person on this board has a relative or close friend, husband, sibling who is an alcoholic. I just don't find that joke funny.

Who was talking about alcoholism?  You can drink and like to drink and not be an alcoholic.

its a joke & i didn't write it, i just thought that it was cute. i'm german, you know how many hilter jokes i got when i was a kid? if i would have known that people would have gotten upset, i never would have posted it.

Yes, I do. My maiden name is German and I was called Nazi by lots of stupid kids. [:@]

Sticks and stones....I don't get too upset about things.

....but on the other hand, it was ignorant. I like to interrupt ignorance when I can. I know you didn't write the joke, hey, it's small thing. I'm not the one who posted that I was horribly offended. Just a little annoyed by the two I mentioned and not enough for it to even make me think about it for more than five minutes. Anyway, I don't want to [sm=beatdeadhorse.gif] so I'll leave it at that.

As for the younger people who say they don't understand why some are offended....you live in a world where ethnic jokes *aren't* okay for the most part. That's because of how we older people have changed the world. Ethnic humor was a mainstay until the 60s until people started to realize it hurt people.

Enough! Let's get back to laughing at the FUNNY jokes![8D][:D]
