oh thanks guys my birthday just went from happy to not so good - on my way to meet my friend from lunch someone rear-ended me pretty badly sooooooooooooo

no lunch and now I get to try and get the ball rolling with repairing my car Sad

The officer kindly DIDN'T ticket her for the accident but it is her fault (uh yea I slowed with the person in front of me and she didn't). He also didn't notice her registration/inspection was out of date and didn't want to ticket or warn her for that. I'm like so there's no need for current registration and inspection????

LOL I called my friend and told her so no margarita for me although I feel like putting my head in a bucket of magarita!

ah well it's early perhaps it will get better Hmm

Aww, that really stinks. Even a fender bender can be a real pain to deal with, but hey, why not go enjoy lunch and have an extra margarita. It's your birthday. You can deal with real life junk tomorrow Drinks

LOL my car is a station wagon and the back is damaged enough that it isn't able to shut properly. Anyway it could be a lot worse I am glad to report that her insurance was active - which around here isn't a guarantee.

Now I have to wait until Monday at the earliest to hear from the claims officer. A little prayer that my car is water tight as we bought some furniture for our not yet built porch which is in the garage and storms are expected all weekend.

And DH and I will be going out later so I'll have a toast to my BD then!

Once again it was very sweet to see this thread

Well, at least you don't have to worry about that. Out here, not only do you have to worry about whether they have insurance or not, but if they'll even stop after they hit you. Hit and runs seem to be the trend these days Super Angry

Getting rear ended is not a fab way to commemorate your birthday! Didn't the cop notice it was your birthday and think you deserved something, too, or was the other driver wearing something really tight and provocative??

Anyway, hope the rest of the day is better. Happy B-day!!
