Raindrops keep falling on my head.....

    Glenda, we're thinking of you over here, too.  I hope things look up for you soon!

     I'm willing to offer you a place to park, too...we don't have all that much room but we're here.  (Actually, it would be a very tight squeeze, but we do what we can!).

    You guys are great.  IF one of us can find a decent job in either of your areas, you just might have a visitor.  As it is now, I'm barely able to cover our expenses on what I'm making, so putting anything aside for gas isn't gonna happen.  And at 4.19 per gallon........

    I've told you Colorado is nice this time of year.  Course Becca's place looks really nice and more space.  Of course NC has more bugs this time of year and I didn't see where she hid her agility equipment.  (Of course I don't have sheep, but my neighbor has some goats.)

    Define "decent."  And, uh,  "job" - as in, what kind?  The job market's pretty wide open here for a lot of careers.  RTP is THE place to be for technical jobs, and the biomed industry is booming - they are begging people to come work here.

    If something opened up, we'd find a way to get to get you here.

    Bugs shmugs.  We've got ducks who eat 'em all.

    And anyone's welcome to visit of course - but Glenda and family have dibs on the trailer hookup.  Big Smile

    ETA:  The taller of the two white buldings is a workshop, currently unused except as storage.  Our next project is to empty it and put a freezer in there (it's got electric, nice lights, etc) and create a dog food prep area.  Not for daily stuff, but the big projects.  There'd be plenty of room for a visiting freezer!  Wink

    Raindrops (or in your case rainslaps) will eventually bring green grass and beautiful flowers.

    I know, I know...shut the he$$ up!  You are probably sick of me trying to make things look brighter than they really are.

    But, good grief...your time is coming.  I think about you every day and wonder how the job hunt for DH is coming along.  I continue to pray and send good thoughts your way.   {{{{HUGS}}}}

    wow Glenda, you've had it rough. I'm thinking of you and i just know things will get better!

    • Gold Top Dog

    The thing is that if we all put our heads, driveways and whatnot together, this board as a collective, could get you from point A to point B and enjoy every min of doing it.

    My driveway is also open should you need it.

    ((hugs)) to you, Glenda. Things have gotta start looking up soon, right?!
    • Gold Top Dog

    Geeze. I dunno.  Seems like everytime I start thinking really positively, more crap gets dumped on us.

    DH is a radio programer/air talent, and I've been in marketing and sales forever.  Nuthin real tech with either of us, and biomed doesn't make it either....unless it's sales and they pay relocation expenses......

    These people have been begging for employees for forever:  http://www.curtismedia.com/employment.htm  They own all the largest market stations in this state and part of the surrounding states. Which of course is no big whoop if you compare us to major urban areas, but the interesting thing is that I've noticed that talent in particular seem to get good subsequent offers IN major urban areas.  Ie, people don't leave these stations to go sell cars - they go to host shows in DC or Seattle.  Big Smile

    Just yell at me if you want a bit less meddling.  Sometimes I get a bit pushy if I think I can help - my response to other's troubles is always "FIX IT!"

    • Gold Top Dog

    Less meddling?  That's a great help.  Will have Todd check it out today!\

    Thanks!

    Sheeesh.  I can't even stand that you've been put through this latest series of challenges.

    The Twin Cities metro market is a big one for communications - fairly dominated, from what I know, by some of the big corp guns.  But if he sees something of interest anywhere in our area (or anywhere in MN) and I can be of any help with research or a place to stay if he comes to interview or any legwork, let me know.

     I'm still praying for you Glenda; {{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}

    I am moving to Beccas,you can have my place!!Wink

    Seriously,no matter where you decide to go there are alot of driveways between you and there,members of this board have moved dog from one side of the country to another.I am sure many would be more than happy to help get you where you need to be.Whether it be physically or spiritually.
