    I feel like poop! (alieliza)

I have a pretty weak immune system, and I work with germy kids all day long.

This is at least the 4th time I've been sick this school year. I feel terrible. It started with a stuffy nose, sneezing and a sore throat. Then, over a couple of days the sore throat went away and I just had a stuffy nose... now the soreness is back! I can't stand it.

I've been using my neti pot at least twice a day, gargling with salt water, drinking lots, sucking on cepacol lozenges, throat drops, etc. I am afraid that I might have strep (again!), though as of yet I don't have any white pockets on my tonsels or back of the throat.

Aye aye aye, I hate feeling like this!

I'm sorry.  It must stink to be sick when the weather is so nice.  What have you tried to boost your immune system?  I've noticed when I make a habit of taking my multivitamins and Vitamin C daily, I just feel better.  I've used this on my dogs with good results, but I've read a ton of studies that show it's used to boost immunity in cancer patients and others.  Might be worth a try to see if it helps you fight off all the ickies those germy kids bring to you.

    Arabinogalactan powder

I get mine from spinelife.com, it's helped Woobie with his anal gland and ear infections.

I use Coldeeze as soon as I start to feel crappy.  Seems to work.  I can sympathize with you - I work in a place during the day where people insist on coming to work sick.  I hate that - they keep their sick time and make me use mine!   When I get a cold, I get so teary eyed that I can't drive.

I feel for you!  I get strep throat literally every month.  I have had it every month, except February, since last october.  I have it now again.

When I went to hospital last month because of this lump behind my ear, the doctor there gave me a prescription for a different medicine, I haven't filled it yet, but I think I will and I will see if it helps.  If it does, I will let you know!

Oh, and with stuffy noses, I don't know if they sell this in US, but here I get a vicks inhaler thing and oh boy does it help!  http://www.vicks.com/vapor-inhaler-info.php

Getting strep this often means that you are never completely getting rid of it.

I had a bad sinus infection once and went through months of multiple prescriptions for antibiotics without getting rid of it.  I found a doctor that would give me a vitamin C IV.  All of a sudden the antibiotic I was taking at the time started working and the infection cleared up.

If you try a vitamin C IV, I hope they have an easier time finding your veins than they do mine.  Stick tongue out

I hate that feeling too. Hope you feel better soon!

Oh! I just remembered an old remedy my mother used alot on us when I was a kid and it did seem to work, not sure why but it might be worth a try.  She'd place a tablespoon of olive oil into a small glass of orange juice and we'd have to chug it down.  We'd take it at the first sign of illness.
