    Mindless Chatter - TGIF

Long weekend ahead! wohoo. Hopefully the weather will be great. They are saying that it will be.

Sunday is the dog days of summer festival and Neiko and I are going to compete in freestyle frisbee. I planned on practicing with him today after work but I left and forgot our frisbees. doh.

I didn't even plan on coming to work today because I didn't get home last night until about 8:30 but it seems that there are some really pressing issues that need to be taken care of so here I am. With Neiko at my side. At least there's that.

My sister did a good job of watching the dogs and she's not so afraid of Dakota anymore. She said that it was really good for her. She spent about 6 hrs at the dog park with them yesterday. They were all exhausted when I got home. I loved it :)

I am itchy, itchy, ITCHY because I got my danged hair cut/highlighted. I don't want to take a shower though because then my hair will get messed up. I AM ITCHY. My hair is cute tho so I guess I can't whine too much.

I'm glad Dakota wasn't too bad, LOL.

I wish it was dinnertime. BF and I both won't be home until 8ish and that's soooo long from now. Maybe he'll take me to Outback, I have an intense craving for a bloomin onion. He's such a nice guy. He surprised me with a sunflower for the flower bed and a new orchid since my last one got weedwhacked by the lawn guy *grrr*

I need to get some serious cleaning done before I go back to work - load/unload the dishwasher, vacuum, and throw wash in.

hmmm, quiet Friday - guess folks are on their way to enjoy the holiday weekend.

No holiday for me - I am working Monday to make up for the other days I'm taking for my trip to NH.  BF *just* left w/his nephew to drive with him back to TX.  (Kid thought his 2-day old driver's license was good enough to drive 14+ hours by himself and could not be persuaded to wait.  So BF is going w/him) So, I am alone for the weekend w/the dogs - and the roommate/her girlfriend if they come back tomorrow.  I feel a little lonely...

But I CANNOT WAIT to scrub the nephew's bedroom so we can move crap in there again! wooo hooo!

Still miss my honey, though... He won't fly back until Monday.

Wait, I am so confused by this. In PA, you're not allowed to drive out of state until you're 18, unless it's for employment purposes. This confuses me further as to how it's enforced. I guess the state you are driving in would have to have a reciprocal rule of not allowing out of state drivers under 18 in order for it to matter. Maybe it means you can incur some sort of penalty if you are under 18 driving in PA with an out of state license? Meh.. it doesn't affect me anyway.

PA is odd for driving laws, isn't it?

He turned 18 earlier this month, so he's fine there (I have no idea if there is any such law here).  But he hasn't got enough driving experience to justify a 14hr solo trip.  Thus his uncle, my BF, is going w/him to keep him safe, give advice, drive as necessary, etc, etc. Geeked
