Mom-lady practices picture taking (pic heavy) (Chewbecca)

I got a new camera yesterday. It's a Nikon D60x. I have a LOT to learn on this camera, and I SHOULD HAVE gotten the 55-200 mm lens with it, but I chose not to. I didn't think I'd need it. Well...now I realize that I REALLY want it, especially for the pics I want to take.

These aren't the best pics because I'm still trying to figure the camera out. I cannot seem to lower my apeture below f 5.2-5.6. I'm not sure why.
Anyway, here are some pics and a lot of them are VERY similar.

Wow, Ella really is a beautiful dog. I love the pic of her looking back at you as she stands near the fence...so innocent mhmm...: P

I think my favorite is the nasty stink eye look; she means serious bidness. LOL. Ella is beautiful. Enjoy your new toy!

Thank you!!! Instead of making a new thread, I'm just going to post some more pics. I'm just messing with the camera and trying different settings, shutter speeds, ISO settings, etc.

And I know I've taken like 384378 headshots of her, but I LOVE this one.
HEY, ELLA! You've got a little something on your face.

Now, with these I turned the ISO up to HIFI. They're too bright, which kind of sucks because they would've made adorable pictures.

Now, with this next one, and the others after, I put the ISO on 400, which seemed perfect, imo.

She's just adorable! I love her ears! Great action shot too.... =)
