    Mindless Chatter Tues

My car is sparkling clean! I scrubbed it out top to bottom last night. I took the dog's shedding blade to the carpet and got out all of the hair. I even waxed up the leather seats. It is smelling good!

I'm off to IL today for the rest of the week so I won't be around to start the thread. I'm going to miss my dogs so much! I wish I could take them with me. At least my sister is staying at the house so I don't need to worry about them that much. They will be in good hands and they all like her. The only thing is that she's kind of afraid of Dakota. I try to tell her that Dakota is just a tough old dog but she's all bark and no bite but my sister is still leery of her.

Anyways, have a good rest of the week!

    Be safe driving to IL.

Not too much going on this week.  I think I am going to get some flowers this week and put together my planters.  It's still pretty chilly at night, but if I keep them in the garage they should be ok.  Wings won last night, that's good; however, game 4 is on the 31st and we have a wedding that night, so DH will be going crazy.  Gotta love the mad scramble to try to find a TV with the game on.  Since it is an out of town wedding it will be even more interesting.  Thank goodness the bride and groom is just as big of hockey fans as DH, so there won't be any hard feelings.

I am soooo sleepy!  Between DH, & Bevo, I was smushed in bed last night.  I’m used to DH being really close, but last night Bev decided to be really snuggly too, & I ended up sandwiched between the two of them.  Not sure that I can handle that on a regular basis!I’m so excited, we leave for our honeymoon this Friday.  I can’t wait to get to spend time with DH without distractions.  I am a little sad that we’re leaving the dogs behind, but they’ll manage.I am finally far enough ahead at work to not have to worry about taking a computer with me.   I’m a full two weeks ahead, & I’m still working to get myself further ahead.  I’ve decided not to mention this to anyone, so that I don’t have more work piling on to my desk.

Grr.... I am self employed, so I technically have no immediate supervisor. This is a minor problem when trying to get another job, which I am doing right now. I can't use one person who has been one of my best references in the past, due to some issues that make it not in my best interest to use her for this specific position. Another person has either just had, or will soon be having a baby, so I think out of respect to her, I won't ask her. I don't want her to feel any obligation, and I think she's really got enough to do in the next few days/weeks. I have not heard back from some other people, and one who I have heard back from said he can't do it. I'm not an employee, so he's not my supervisor. I do have some people I can put down as references, but I'd rather have some other people for this one. I'm hoping I hear back from at least one more person before I go for the interview tomorrow, but I am not holding my breath.

Back from a crazy trip to NY - insanely busy and full.  I was just out in the yard with bozo and he caught a fledging - well heck I didn't see exactly what happened he may have pulled it from the nest.  It was OK when he dropped it for me but then it tried to flutter off and he whacked his paw down on it to 'hold it'.  I don't think it was up to that.  Anyway I put it somewhere where it would be safe from him and went to go get a couple of worms from my compost.  When I got back to it, it was trying to move again.  So I fed it a couple of worms and then brought it over to it's nest.  It proceeded to jump out of the nest and try to fly again. It's on its own now.  I honestly don't think it will make it.

All the while I am wondering where bozo is as he isn't usually so far from the action.  So I go around to the back of the yard and he has his head in a hole and proceeds to pull out a mole.  So then I had to chase him down for that.

    That's 30 minutes I won't get back Surprise

I got a nice chuckle just picturing all that, so thank you!

Our temps went from the high 90s or low 100s to about 80 today and it's windy. Of course, I'm now under-dressed and cold Sad. We went to S.F. on Sunday from my nephews graduation from law school and the city had been in the 90s all week too but dropped to the mid-60s that day. I was freezing!!

Oh, and I washed my car and made it all shiney and nice before the drive to the city and now it's covered with bug splatter. Why do people (me) clean their cars up before a long drive? Confused

I do that too!  DH always asks why I clean the house so well BEFORE we leave for a trip.  Uh, so I don't come home to a s*** hole, genius!

I always change the linens before we leave because it is sooo nice to climb into fresh sheets your first night home.  DH says that he doesn't understand but he enjoys those crisp sheets just as much as I do!  (just his way of getting out of helping)

I am still suffering from my first bout of gardening this year - back, arms, knees etc.  Ugh.

Today I started my meal plan to control some of my eating habits, actually dinner last night was the first meal.  I was really worried that it would taste bad or I wouldn't like it but it's REALLY good!  I just have to stick with it now....

Whooooaaa.  Amanda.  I missed something - I admit I'm distracted these days and not that involved, but DH?  Honeymoon?  How'd I miss that!  Congrats!!!!

I heard back from two of the people I asked if they could serve as references for me, so I'm all set, since I had already asked one other person. I've never been asked for more than three, so I think that's taken care of. Now, I just need to find myself some dinner before Dancing with the Stars comes on. I'm off to do that now.

Now Bozo... I mean Bugsy... I realize spring fever hits all of us, but give mom a little break, ok?  She's working hard to keep you happy and busy!

BF started his golf lessons today.  He wants me to join him... but I had to explain that if I learn to play golf, I will just end up better than him and that will only frustrate him.  (aahahahah!!!  Hardly!  But he LOVES a competition, so this will just ignite him to get better faster.  He likes to be the best.)

Thank goodness today is the last day of 104 degree weather.  The pool isn't even refreshing at these temps - it just cooks all day.

Yeah, DH! Big Smile  We were married in Vegas on April 5.  Because of work, we weren't able to go on our honeymoon immediately after the wedding.

I'm pretty sure that saying "I do" was the best decision that I've ever made!

I am so glad I am 'off' tomorrow, kind of. I have about a MILLION errands to run, and my bed linens need to be washed.

I bought Pirate a Cuz (a Good, if you needed to know) and he is in HEAVEN. I wonder how long he'll leave the feeties on.

I told my bosses at doggie day care that if we can't bring our dogs to daycare for free anymore, I'd quit. Whelp, we can't bring our dogs anymore, so I told them I wouldn't be back, after tonight. Oh well. The only reason I stayed since the Move was so that Pirate could go to daycare. 60+ miles round trip is a little too far for $8 an hour.

I think I might look into a daycare closer to home - he LOVES playing but our dog park is usually empty and I'm not really into dog parks anyway.

Anyone wanna get breakfast in the morning? I think Pirate and I are going :) and I LOVE going out for breakfast!
