My BF told me today that his Ex is getting rid of her dog & cat, she's moving an for some 'reason' she can't take them with her. Of course she knows that she's moving for MONTHs, but waits til now to try to find her animals a new home & only has a week before she moves. So my BF wants to take them - we already have 3 dogs and 4 cats ( not to mention all my chickens!!) - I already feel like we're stretched to the limit! I mean i'm over looking at doggie boots & crap thinking wow multiply that by 3, thats alot of moo-lah for happy dog feet!! Now we might have another! So just wanted to rant about how i hate it when people have animals & supposedly 'want' them, but do the least amount possible when the time comes for a new home or new living situation. I dunno it just bugs me. My last 2 cats came from my ex-roomy who went all cat-adoption-crazy on me after she moved in. Of course she couldn't handle living on her own & had to move back in with dad, and couldn't take all the cats.
Dont get me wrong I love animals, I really love mine, I just can't keep adding more animals to 'love' to this house!! argh. we'll see how it goes though, probably search for a new home for both of them, but it least they have a good home until then & they dont have a week to make it happen. Really the only reason my Bf wants to take them is becuase he liked both of them, especially the cat. we live on an acre in a rural area so I should be really thinking about how lucky I am to live somewhere that I can take in and foster an animal.
so sorry it's a novel, just wanted to rant!!
p.s. it's a small dog, def could not get another large dog in my house!!
