So, over the weekend I cleaned up my room. It needed to be done anyway, but after Max tore up a big stuffed turtle friday night, it was even more desperate, as there was stuffing across the floor from wall to wall. So, I cleaned the whole room, got rid of stuff, reorganized, moved the breakable stuff to a higher shelf, etc. I thought I had gotten rid of everything Max would find interesting to chew up. So, with nothing left to chew on, he started in on my pillows. Tuesday night he chewed up a big pillow, once again spreading stuffing from wall to wall. Yes, I was there, but I figured he would just chew a hole in it, so I went back to sleep. Monday he had started going after one of my pillow cases, and chewed part of one of them off, but he stopped. They have this sort of frilly stuff around the outside that he was going after. Last night he started in on them again, so I took the pillow cases off. I only have one other pillow case, which is actually too small for my pillows, but I stuck that on one of them, and just stuck the other pillow on the bottom. He decided to go after the uncovered pillow. I found a bone or two, and brought those in for him to chew on, which worked last night. Tonight he started in on the uncovered pillow again. I took that off the bed, so his next step was to go after the other pillow. I tried taking that one off the bed, but hey, i'm used to sleeping with three pillows, so i'm not going to be able to sleep with just one. As soon as I opened the door and let him out of my bedroom, he came out and plopped down to sleep in one of the chairs. It's a folding dish chair, and if I knew how to fold it so that I could get it in my room, even though it would take up all the room, but I bet if I did do that, he wouldn't want to sleep on the chair anymore. I hope whoever is doing this to me is enjoying a good laugh!
