Roscoe, you're looking fantastic!.  Keep up the good work.  I dunno, to me, a black dog with a bad coat is ickier than any other color.  Maybe it's because I've been working on helping Grady's coat look good for a while.  I think I've finally found the magic mixture for him & his coat is finally looking shiny

Reety is soooo sweet looking & those pups???  ~thud~  Too much cuteness in one household..

Erica, LOL. You're free to move in if you bring that adorable Casey - the pic of him sleeping in your signature drives me wild! Looks sooo snuggly :)

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I agree, a black dog with a dull coat DOES look worse than any other color. Maybe because dandruff and brittle hairs show up easier? I don't know, but I am glad his fur is finally looking and feeling nicer. Certainly not perfect, but a major improvement. Out of curiosity, does anyone know if bathing the dog with conditioners will make the fur softer? I was tempted to buy that Black Pearl stuff and wash him in that.

The beagles are irresistable. I took them on their first short walk to the hardware store today and a lady opened the door to the pet store next door(didn't take them in there because I worried about other dogs, illness, etc.) and said "Your puppy... it's cute." LOL. We had about a dozen people stop us to grab them. Velvet did great. No pulling backward on the leash, trying to run up to everyone she saw to be pet. Ace... a little more shy. He did okay for the most part but did pull and cry a little. I finally just picked him up when he was calm for a moment- his walking experience shouldn't be traumatic! Probably not the best way to get them started on a leash, but my fiance insisted.
