    Head Lice

One of the parents from Kale's class just called me to inform me that her son has head lice.  Connor is good friends with Kale so she thought she would give me a heads up.  Much appreciated and not a big deal.  I dealt with head lice a fair bit when I lived out west so I'm not too worried.  If he does in fact have it, I'd like to catch it before Kali gets it since using that shampoo on her doesn't sound appealing.  Anyway, he's not home from school yet so I can't check, but I'm wondering something.  Can dogs get head lice?  I'm hoping not, since I'm sure they would be harder to treat than a human kid's head.  Or even my own hair for that matter.

Nah. Dogs don't get people lice, and people don't get dog lice.

good news - when I lived in the UK I was amazed it seemed like it was a fairly common problem.  I can't remember ever dealing with it as a student or when i was teaching.

Anyway glad Kale is bug free Big Smile

LOL, ya I'm glad he's bug free too.  When I lived in Kingcome we just bought that NIX stuff regularly and I kind of took to washing my hair with it once or twice a month, just in case.  The village is soooo close knit and you really can't erradicate it from your home easily once its there.  Plus even if you do, someone else brings it in a couple days later.  And since the shampoo stuff is kind of a preventative as well, thats what I did.  It leaves your hair really soft too...hehe.  BUT, I'm glad I don't have to go buy any right now.
