Prom tonight!

    Prom tonight!

My prom is tonight! :D I'm just going with friends, which I'm happy about 'cause then I don't have anyone to impress! Lol. I got my eyebrows waxed Thursday, my hair done earlier today, and my nails done after that. I can't wait! This is my first really formal dance, I hope I go next year too. We're meeting for pics, then out to dinner, then prom, then afterhours until 4am. I got a dress (obviously), new shoes, new jewlrey and a clutch and I am so excited. I don't think I've cause my parents so much spending in 3 months than they've spent on me for this. It's so nice of them, I feel like a princess! Lol...sorry, I don't mean to sound like I'm bragging or anything...I'm just excited.... :D

So...I know I'm one of the youngest here.....what were your proms (or homecoming etc.) like? Pics would be cool to see if anyone has any they'd like to share. Anyone going to prom now by chance? (I mean like this year...not just today, lol)

    : )

Awww - ISG!  Have a fantastic time!!

Tonight is my BF's nephew's senior prom, too, as well as his 18th birthday, so it's a big day we've been anticipating for him too.  I took him tux shopping a few weeks ago, what fun!  (He flew back to his old HS in Texas to attend.)  His girlfriend kept the color of her dress secret, so now I want to see his pics.

It always floored me the amount of money people spent on their proms.  I remember moving up to New Jersey after spending High School in FL.  The girls in NJ said they spent upwards of $1000 on prom!  And would do it again the next year (Junior and Senior years)  NUTS!!

I hope you have a blast!!  If you don't have plans for after prom, don't miss out on finding those gatherings or parties that might hold all the fun.  Keep yourself safe - don't let anyone drink and drive!  Bring extra cash for when you get hungry in the middle of the night and MUST eat Taco Bell in your fancy dress.... or need to get a ride home and can't call mom/dad or some other reliable relative.

(Sorry, no pics here.  All in storage back in NH)

     Have fun!!!!

No pics here either, but I had a blast. I found a pretty nice formal dress at Ross for $30 and spent what I saved on fancy stuff like a limo and a super fancy dinner. I went with a group of friends and we all had a really great time. We ended up falling asleep watching a movie at a friend's house at 4 am or so (oops) so our parents were mildly freaking out since we disappeared until 6 or so, when people started waking up, but since the friend's parents were home it ended up being no big deal at all.

We were big on the sparkling cider and virgin mixed drinks. All the fun of drinking without the alcohol, more or less :-p Made us feel like we were celebrating, at least!

My daughter is going to her Junior prom on Friday, we are going out to lunch then getting her hair done. Her prom starts at 5:30 so her dad has to get out of work early so he can see her and her date off. My sons proms were easier, not as much fussing for him.

I hope you had fun at your Prom.

My prom was OK. Since BF was 2 grades ahead of me he didn't want to go. We compromised and he went to dinner and then I went solo to prom and I loved it!

oooh! Megan! I love your dress!
I wanted a pink one...but settled for the blue when I couldn't find anything else I liked.

I loved it too! I scored it for $25 at Ross : ) because one of the seams had a teensy rip.
