    would you consider this cheating?

My little brother was going out with a girl he really reallly really liked and then she was acting weird around him. He finally found out why. It was because my lil brothers best friends found her kissing her guy best friend. He's all depressed now....

They broke up because of it, but do you consider that cheating?

In a way I do. I know if I found out my BF was kissing another woman, I'd be mad. But it depends on their age as well..IMO.  They should also talk it out if the relationship means anything to them.

Um how could you not consider that cheating?  If I caught JJ kissing another girl well lets just say you wouldnt be seeing me on the forum for a while. Be too busy moving my butt to Florida and away from the cheater.

    Uh Yeah, it's cheating....move on.

    Uh Yeah, it's cheating....

Especially if they're young and that's as far as they go. Then it's like..the Ultimate Cheating.

Yeah it's cheating.  Why would age matter?  If they think they are old enough for those types of relationships, then they're old enough to be cheaters...

Sorry but Yes. If the Hubs tried to rationalize a kiss with the but we are best friends theory THAT would hurt more than a public affair.  If I am not his BEST friend than we aren't going to be together.

Uh, very much so. I have many guy friends, they are really good friends, I've known them forever. But... I don't go around kissing them....sorry.

There's so much more to life then boyfriends and girlfriends at that young age. I honestly did not have my first 'serious' bf until senior year in hs. I had too much else going on to worry about that stuff. That's not to say I didn't have my 'boyfriends'. I went out and such, but never anything serious.

    • Gold Top Dog

That's what I meant by age wise... I never had a serious relationship in HS cuz I was just to busy so it never really occurs to me that it does happen.. *shrugs*

    • Gold Top Dog

haha - yea. I was too busy having fun to worry about who I was going to spend the rest of my life with! IMO there are just so many more important things to worry about at that age.

    • Gold Top Dog

Well I wasn't having fun really.. I lived 5 miles outside of town away from everyone else so I spent my time studying.. That and it turns out all my guy friends came out of the closet at graduation.. Lol!

    • Gold Top Dog

Call me old fashioned, but they were not married, so it wasn't cheating.  Cheating happens when there's a binding contract.

    • Gold Top Dog

Agreed - but if you can't be 'faithful' to one person, than what's the point of being in that relationship? I know we aren't talking serious stuff here-  with one kiss, but....all the same - if you can't trust someone, you don't have a relationship. And...with kids at that age - all they have is kissing - and you take that away and give it to someone else, you may as well have stabbed them in the heart (yes, I have a younger brother.....)

Even aside from what he feels, if she felt guilty enough to act weird around him, she obviously thought there was something to it as well.

And Becca, please don't tell my fiance that...we don't have anything in writing yet, but I'd be very hurt if he decided that kissing someone else wasn't cheating...

No it's just plain cheating -- whether it's the 'ultimate' because it's as far as they 'go' or because it's the beginning of where they go ... it's .... cheating!
