We're officially renters!!

I know, this isn't that great, going from owning a place to renting. *sigh*. BUT we found an awesome townhouse - all new appliances! New carpets! It has porch on the top half and a patio downstairs, two bedrooms (BF and I, and my little bro) and TWO AND A HALF bathrooms. I've never had that many bathrooms in my life. The closets are huge too! The best part is the price - $650 a month, which is about $350 cheaper than the average around here.

So hooray for being a renter! We can move in whenever we want, so I guess I'm moving this weekend!

Holy crap $650? And I thought living in west Michigan was a steal (we have 2 small bedrooms, one bath for $625, the other side is the exact same but $725 - they pay more b/c they get a one stall garage and we are in charge of putting the trash out, lol).

I'm excited for you because I know where you're coming from. You got a steal girl! That would be cheap even in low-cost-of-living Texas. Are you just chomping at the bit to move now?

Yessssss I want to move NOWWWWWW. LOL. But only because we're staying at BF's parents house until we move.

It turns out I work all day Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, so moving will have to wait until Wednesday. I'm glad I finished packing it all today. doG works in mysterious ways, I guess. Now I have to call and turn on the gas, water, electric, and cable. Deposits galore.

Did I mention it has a gas fireplace!? So cool!

very cool! =] My friends paying close to $800 for a one bedroom 2 bath apartment...granted, it's a really nice area with a bunch of amenities and crap - but still!

I am so jealous!!! I am paying $1685 for a two bedroom two bath apartment. No garage or fireplace. Congrats on the new place! Sounds great!

Trust me guys when I say it is a DEAL. One of our friends rents in the same complex and pays $1000/month.

LOL @ the fireplace. I tried to explain to BF how ridiculous it was but I couldn't burst his little bubble.

haha... I guess it's not SO bad... my parents have a chiminea(sp? - small moveable fireplace/chimny thing) out by their pool...... Huh?

Congrats! I'm hopefully going to be moving to a bigger place with a yard myself, so I know how happy you must be to get a new place and all the cool amenities for a great price!

Of course I pay $550/mo for a 1bd 1ba around here, so the price isn't as obviously great to me, but I'm fairly certain COL is greated in Florida! Wink
