Mindless Chatter - Sat

    Mindless Chatter - Sat

I need to deep clean the house today. Looks like I'll have visitors this afternoon. My house really needs it though so I guess this is good motivation.

Lily and Neiko shared a counter surfed prize yesterday in the form of a tub of butter. Now Lily has pretty explosive poo. Neiko is fine though. It seems like someone around here always has runny poop.

I actually had to turn my AC on last night. First time this year. I didn't want to have to do it but it was 80 in the house and humid. The temp outside this morning though is nice and cool.

    Oooo, butter. Score! ~L~.

It's my first weekend off in FOREVER and the guy next door is having new windows put in. Whhyyyyy? I just want some peace and quiet. Especially after my roommate came home at 3AM and kept going in and out of the front door. SLAM. SLAM. SLAM.

Pirate and I are park bound :)

Err it's raining here. Looks like it'll be another boring day here unless I get some one to take me to town.

Might be going to look at Chihuahua puppies for JJ's mom's mother's day present. She's been wanting and looking for one for about a year now. I think I found the perfect one for her. I have puppy fever right now so I'll be glad if we find her the right pup. Then I can play with it all I want and not have to have any responsibility over it!!

Gonna get Lillie started in agility soon.

Shhhh..... don't complain about the rain!  I did that 2 days ago to Gin and today we have a brand new fresh foot and a half of snow....I kid you not!

I finally got to see my friends baby yesterday.  He's so tiny.  His name is Liam and he's still smaller than Kali was when she was first born.  He's adorable!  I helped her with her latch too.  Its been hurting her all through her feedings, so I watched him latch on and gave her a couple tips and she says its the first time she's fed him that it didn't hurt.  Yikes!  I feel bad that I haven't been over there before now, but she had a c-section and I didn't want to bother her.  BTW, does anyone know any good tips for the relieving the pressure and aches of c-section recovery?  Having never had one, I didn't know what to recommend.  I don't even really understand the feelings she tried to describe.

I had a c-section. I noticed the more I moved around the better I felt. But it will hurt getting up and down off the couch or bed for a while. That's just normal. They gave me medicine for pain but I never took them. Tell her not to be afraid to move around but if she needs to rest then do it.

Good lord. I took a morning nap - being lazy like I kind of wanted this morning only to be woke (is that a word) up by the most disgusting smell EVER! Lily, doesn't know how to tell me that she has to go out unless she's in her crate. She doesn't get the jingle the bell thing. So, she squirted poop all over the living room floor! This disgusting runny mucusy smelling poop! Now my entire house smells like it! Not only that but she rubbed herself all over my down comforter and got some on that!

I have been scrubbing the floor ever since. I'm going to have to rent a carpet cleaner. I called my sister and told her not to come over. I'll have to go to the laundry mat too because my washer isn't big enough for the comforter. AHHHHHHHHHHHH!

C-sections here, too.  I found that lying down was most uncomfortable.  It was like it stretched the incision.  Sleeping in a semi-sitting up position worked best for me and made getting in and out of bed much easier.

Julie I feel your pain - the other night we were out and didn't get back in until about 4.5 hrs after Bugsy's normal dinner time.  He is always psycho hungry and always insanely excited when we get in.  So I waited a bit, then fed him.  He continued to be hyper and yup he wound up 'urping' most of it up.  Salmon, green beans, and sweet potato - on carpet.  Marvelous. I steam cleaned it but noticed that yesterday the room reaked of fish - Ick!

Most of my day so far has been using   this  one of the best investments I've made and to be honest I was thinking as I used it that every dog owner could use one of these.  For an inexpensive machine it does a great job and is easy to use.

I also decided to wash all of Bugsy's bedding.

I'm feeling exhausted and it isnt even 2 yet.  have to go to the food store and do some gardening - should sleep well tonight

Is there a full moon?  Willow is eating again!  This must have something to do with the temperature.  It's about 60 today, a few days this week it was mid to upper 70's.  I think anything past 65 and she's uncomfortable.

We had such a nice walk this morning at the trail.  She's into digging holes and peeing in them, it's very odd.

I hope Lily is feeling better soon.  We've been there done that many times.

Pirate was insistent on marking things today on our walk. Once he was out of pee he would just 'spin his wheels' and cover my flipflops in dirt *sigh*. Maybe it is a full moon.

I've skimped on my laundry duties and so that's what I've been doing. I wondered where all my kitchen towels were, it turns out they were all dirty.

I LOVE our carpet steamer. Pirate had a cyst once, in his mouth, that burst one night after we were treating it and he bled all over my couch. Our good ol' steamer took it right out! I think it's a Bissel, it belonged to BF's parents before it came to us. I used it a lot when he was on pred to steam the pee out of the carpets too. Ah, life with dogs.

I wanna go to the beach tomorrow! Anyone want to come?

    • Gold Top Dog

I wanna go to the beach! Can you pick me up? LOL

ETA:  What can I bake without eggs?  I wanna bake, but I have no eggs....

    • Gold Top Dog
Sure! My mom only goes to the beach now with my stupid stepdad and he's no fun. And none of my friends have the stamina to lay out like I do.

Can we get hot dogs for lunch? Mmmm.

I think you hit the nail on the head Smile especially for a dog with as much hair as a chow has.  Max  does the same thing when the temps rise.  If it's really hot he'll go all day without eating anything (just drinking water) and when it cools down at night he'll eat it all. Normally he grazes throughout the day.
