...If it weren't for his long fur, I would guess that he is an APBT/AB or APBT/Boxer mix.

I was actually thinking that his head shape and ears look very Boxer. Maybe there was a recessive gene for thick hair somewhere along the line?

He definitely has the Boxer body wiggle thing going on! He wags his tail and wiggles his body so hard that he's constantly whacking his body with his tail.

I just don't want everyone else to be just as disappointed as I will be if we don't adopt him.[

But even if I don't adopt him, Leeann will find him a perfect home, just like she did with Norris (the blue pit bull puppy she was fostering). I mean, I cannot help but think, of course, that *I* would be the perfect owner for him. And that breaks my heart, but Leeann is a great foster mommy.
And, like I said, if we don't adopt him, at least we'll get to play with him and give him some love!

Definitely.
This point, that you may not adopt him, is not only something I understand, but something I almost expect (not that Im not rooting for you, or that I don't believe it could happen)... but I don't expect it will.... But I do have my hopes up!

I wish you the best of luck, and I know that if it doesn't work out, Leann will do a great great job with him!

Yup, my guess is that it's 70/30 that you won't be able to adopt him for whatever reason, but there's always that chance!! I'm hoping for you!! Try to think though, even if it doesn't work out with this guy, there are ALWAYS dogs needing homes. If Ella doesn't get along with this guy, she may get along with a different one and over time your boyfriend may want a 2nd dog. [

WOW!!! There is a HUGE resemblance between the Tysons! Both are just precious! Now I wish I could have another dog! But I can't right now! I'm pretty sure he will have a fabulous home!

Yes, I did go!

But...He and Ella just did not click. Ella is simply just not ready for another dog to be in her presence.
She acted like a fool trying to get to him and when we actually tried to introduce them, she sent off pretty bad vibes to him and he actually got upset.

After that, Ben put her back into the truck and we visited for a while. He's ADORABLE.

I'll update with pics soon, but right now I have to go lay down because I have a GIGANTIC headache and I don't know why.
Leeann is a sweetheart and a wonderful dog owner and Tyson is SOOO cute.
I can definitely see boxer in him.[

sad, but not suprising, given all you've posted about ella's DA. baby steps, baby steps... maybe this was just too big.

I bet that Tyson was so so cute! Im glad you got to meet him. I always fantasize about meeting the dogs I fantasize about adopting... its nice it happened for you!

I'm sorry it didn't work out. Maybe over time Ella will be ready to be around other dogs.
