Sorry, but I need to do another neighbor rant! We're rural and our next door neighbors go through about a dog per year. Their latest, a yellow Lab mix, had pups back in January and I now notice that they kept 2 of them. Mom and pups were in the field across the county road! A road with 70 mile per hour semi tractor trailer traffic! The same road that gets the majority of their pets! They have a fenced backyard, but the dogs are usually locked out and stay in their old horse barn. Only good thing is that the mom dog does appear to have been spayed, thank goodness. I routinely bug them about spay and or neuter and shots. Why can some otherwise nice people be so ignorant?
