Queation for those that go out to dance clubs.....

That's why when we go out once in a while to the clubs, we travel in packs of girls, and we watch each others' backs, and have great ways of breaking up uncomfortable situations. There's nothing like the "I need to go to the bathroom!" to ward off annoying men. Now, I'm single so I'm not totally opposed to a nice dance with a guy, but even being single there are limits on what I'll accept and not accept with a man I have not met before!

I do try to keep in mind though that there are just as many guys at clubs just wanting to have fun, and there are just as many girls at clubs who are trying to pick up, so you learn pretty quickly who is in it for the fun, and who is in it for "the fun", so to speak, and you act accordingly.

Oh that's easy ;) I just say um, no and walk away LOL. I am confrontational hee hee.

At clubs like that, too many drunk men decide to retaliate and throw drinks or insults if they are confronted in a way that embarrasses them.  (Cuz usually they can disappear back into the crowd and avoid being kicked out.)

"Ummm, no" or "my BF/hubby/whatever wouldn't appreciate that," usually works, without getting b*tchy.

I hate situations like that. Some guys just don't get it at all. I used to be nice when I went to the bars with my girl friends or DH and his friends. But after awhile you realize that you literally have to be as blunt as possible to get them to hit the road. You don't necessarily have to be a beotch to them (although thats my preferred method lol), but usually not answering them directly will keep them pestering you for a while.

True.  sometimes some girls play like that and guys think h shes just playing hard to get.  Also, most men are not that subtle and at best your being nice/polite can be construed as teasing or sending the wrong signals....

me and my hubby don't do the club thing... we did a couple of times when we got together, needless to say, the BF was jealous at the time and he got kicked out... Tongue Tied so we never went back because it only caused drama...

If I'm honest, I hate clubs.  We went to one at the weekend because it was a cousins 18th and it was her choice where we went.  But it was DIRE.  And no one REALLY looked like they were enjoying themselves.  They looked like they were there because, well, that's what you do a Saturday night.  In the end we got the heck outta there and went for a round in the Nags which was a million times better - comfortable, friendly relaxed atmosphere, juke box, decent drinks that weren't overpriced....  We all got a bit silly and staggered home at stupid o' clock but the night wasn't a TOTAL loss after all...

Its easy!  Just say,"Do you see children in your near future?"  Or,"Do you want to get married?"  If they say yes, they are too drunk to catch you if you run.
