Shannon's alternate name was Kieran. It's a boy's name, but works with girls, and when I did research both "Kieran" and "Keira" meant "little dark (haired) one" so we were only going to consider that if she came out with tons o'black hair, like I did.
What about Kara? (CARE-ah). Every Kara that I've encountered in my life has been a beautiful popular girl.
