jewlieee - you should have a hot bath!!  That always helps when I am feeling ill!!

Today is my first day back to work since March 26 lol, I am back from vacation and back in my office.  I really don't mind though, I am glad to be back :)

Julie - Sorry you are not feeling well but do not go in, you do not do anyone any favors by doing so. Not too mention it won't help you get better either! By the way how was your Dr appt on Friday?

What a gorgeous weekend!!! I think spring finally got here. We got A LOT done at our house. I got focused and got it done. I am proud of myself especially because of the weather. Saturday I picked up the house (clutter), took Teddi to class, we took the dogs for a walk at the park, cleaned the insides of our cars, scrubbed the kitchen and ironed my necessary laundry. The dogs got to be outside while Art did yard work in the AM, and while I cleaned the cars in the PM. Even Teddi got to be out and she was a good girl. She was emotionally satisfied Sat PM and slept great! I can't say any were physically tired, but this is just as good. Oh DH and I were physically tired!

On Sunday DH and I did the formal cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, I scrubbed the bathroom he did all the floors. I went out and took care of my horse. I didn't actually ride, I have a friend who rode him we were seeing if she gets along with him so she can ride him a couple times a week to help me get him back in shape. We took him outside he was GREAT! He loves being out. Then when I got home from the barn we walked the dogs. I paid bills, changed the bed and started our laundry for this week. I WAS A TIRED PUPPY!!!

The good thing is my house work is done (now I just have to maintain) and I can play with my dogs and horse guilt free.

    However I hate Mondays!

    Julie get better!

Kali just found my measuring tape which led us to measure various parts of ourselves.  Kali is 30" tall and her waist is 20" around.  hehe.  It made us curious about our waists.  Mine is huge right now obviously and I knew the measurement.  I wasn't gonna measure mine, UNTIL Tyler measured his.  He's been joking around about how big I'm getting and I keep slapping him.  Well his waist measured a whopping 37 inches.  At that point I jumped up and grabbed the tape.  I'm 39 inches, a whole 2 inches bigger than him and I'm already bigger than I ever got with Kali.  I collapsed onto the couch in giggles and Tyler turned all shades of purple!  HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!  I feel good!  NanananananaNah!

    Julie - feel better soon!

I had a feeling of dread about coming to work today, and I was right.  There are 3 of us working on a project and we have a new person that we are reporting to for this project only.  Only two of us were on the project from the get-go and the third is only two weeks into this.  Needless to say, they have taken over our project and we are feeling...terratorial is the word.

Come to think of it...we have been emotionally highjacked, best to come back to this tomorrow with some thoughtfully phrased comments on our direction.

DH had to take Monroe to the vet this morning, suspected tape-worm that turned out to be false - yay.  The vet also said that Monroe is down to a good weight and he has a lot of muscle and is very fit.  This is great news as we've been working towards that with our big lab.  DH called to give me his report and mentioned that he was cleaning the house up before leaving for the airport.  I can't wait to see what his version of cleaning looks like!  We usually do it together.

Jeezzz...I sound like a real control freak today.  A nice romp at the park with my "Brown in motion" team will do the trick..... cya later!

Julie - I hope you didn't go in.  As much as you want to make sure the student is ok, you're only going to spread your sickness to them, which means days they will be out, or more people they will make sick.  (But I don't even take my own advice, so!! lol)  I hope you are home resting and recouperating!  ~*~*~*Healthy vibes~*~*~*~

Beautifying the house has become an interesting feat.  I would love to start with keeping it CLEAN!!  I cannot wait until BF's nephew moves back home.  Then we gain a room - (to reclaim as the office and store clothing in), and lose the stink and mess of a 17yr old boy. Wooohooo!

Parents' dog is doing well.  She sounds a good deal like Gracie, only she's skittish around loud noises.  Someone clearly didn't socialize her well, because she freaks about cars passing by, etc. Once she settles in and trusts that she is "home" with people that will always keep her safe, I think some of that should lessen.  Step-dad is thrilled that he can leave her alone in the car or home in the crate w/out coming back to destruction.  Separation anxiety took its toll on both Joe and my step-dad.

I stayed home today and got some zzzzzs! I agree with you all - I hate it when people go to work sick. Unfortunately I have to go in tomorrow but at least I got to sleep today. I'm actually feeling kind of worse though. I guess we'll see about tomorrow. the student worker called me at home and I just told him where to find work to do. He sounded very eager so I'm sure he figured it out. I'm having him analyze crash reports that police write up to find out if the crash was related to our work or not. Interesting stuff.

My house looks like a tornado went through it. I'm such a bum when I'm sick. Tissues, blankets and half full glasses every where. It's disgusting. I'd die if anyone dropped in right now.

I did blow out Dakota though. She's shedding bad. The birds will be happy to have all of her fluffy white fur for their nests. All 3 dogs are starting to shed pretty bad. So, add 3 dogs shedding to spring time mud and dirt and it's back to twice a day vacuum cleaning time for me!

Julie - Glad you got some sleep and hope you feel better by morning

Bugsy volunteers to come over and eat all the tissues, he just needs a little water afterwards as they can get cloying Stick out tongue

After doing really well with our training this past week we had an issue this morning.  He got scent of something, turned out to be a cat that decided to hide in the culvert drain (the cement tubes that go under a paved drive) and when B looked in one side the cat flew out the other side and he nearly ripped both my arms out of the socket.  I am so sore now.  He had his harness on so I had one hand on the handle and one on his collar and had to hold on for dear life.  I was really pissed.  I know he's just a dog but I do wish his prey drive was less.  It is impossible to control him in this sort of situation and takes ages to get him back.  Ah well.
