Absolutely NOT. You can follow the link to my MS webpage or pm me for a mailing address to send a check, made out to the National MS Society.

I finally got around to this...

Part of my donation is to support the fight against MS and part is to prevent Billy from getting cold.

Afterall, instead of going out for dinner once or twice we can take the dogs for a hike/picnic instead.

    Thank you.

I know that I'm being rude, but, this is a cause near and dear to my heart, so......BUMP

    When is the deadline?

    • Gold Top Dog

The actual walk is June 21st.  It's nice to have everything in by the day of the walk, even if I don't physically walk.....since I'm hoping I won't BE here to walk....I'm registered as a Virtual Walker, or Stealth, or something like that....

Not rude at all, Glenda.  Not one bit.  You know the saying "out of sight, out of mind."  Best to keep it up front.  I used to check out the Africam link a lot until it disappeared.  Now I rarely think about it.

Hmmmmmm.  I think I was just compared to a monkey....that or a wild jackal.  Wink

haha! Keep bumping! I mean to donate...but never remember! I get paid next Friday (this check is shot...bills...) I'll donate before the walk - PROMISE!!!

    • Gold Top Dog

I think that a lot of folks mean to, and forget, which is why I'm constantly bumping this page to keep it somewhat in peoples minds.  I don't want to bully anyone into doing anything, but this IS an important cause.

    • Gold Top Dog

I'm not above bullying, only I don't know how to virtually bully Wink

Billy, was that an empty threat you offered a while back?  Bust it out mister, let's see what you got.  Or don't got.

Groan....please don't encourage Billy to post neked pictures.  This IS a family forum after all........

Some white dots to cover up the little bits would transform his portrait into something fairly family friendly. Whew, say that three times fast!

Back to the topic at hand:  DONATE DONATE DONATE DONATE DONATE  Glenda is doing a very selfless thing by walking for MS, let's all help her meet her goal.  For those that have already ponied up the cash, a huge THANK YOU!!!

    • Gold Top Dog

    Selfless?  ME?

Honestly, walking and raising money is the ONE thing I can do that makes me feel that I'm doing something to help my sis.  I'm a fixer and a doer, so at least walking lets me do SOMETHING.

But, a cure is supposed to be within our lifetime, and given that I'm an old fart, I'd surely like for it to be in MY lifetime......

    • Gold Top Dog

    OK, now I'm gonna nag.

We're only a month away from the walk folks....and I'm not even at a third of my goal yet, and this years is smaller than last.

For a moment, think about the folks who are afflicted and can't afford the $1200-1500 or MORE per month for meds.  Think about how much your donation can help in helping the MS Society help to supply those meds to people who so badly need them to continue to FUNCTION.  Think about the van or house access that your donation can help to fund....think about what it would be like to wake up in the morning unable to get out of bed, or see clearly, or hold your child.  This condition primarily strikes young women.....women who likely have small children, careers, lives that they no longer get to lead to the fullest.

Five bucks doesn't seem like much.....but that five bucks multiplied by a lot of people adds up very quickly.  Lord knows that I sure know about money being tight....my pennies cry out in pain they get pinched so hard.....but if by giving up one luxury...one latte, packing your lunch instead of buying it just one day, you could help someone to have some kind of quality of life, why wouldn't you?

    Every single penny helps.
