I was planning on taking the girls to a baseball field to run offlead
(finally got off my butt and have enough light to do so after work),
but it was occupied (darn little kids

), so we headed to downtown Spartanburg to work among the Friday night crowds.
I
was especially brave this go round because I worked both girls
simultaneously for the first time is such a distracting environment.

Everything went phenomenally!!
Z
needed her no pull harness, but other than that they were easy to walk
one handed, stayed close, left the grass, trash, etc. alone when asked,
and walked nonchalantly by people and other dogs!
Now for the
brag: both girls did flawless down and sit stays on the sidewalk in
front of the busiest restaurant with an outside eating area, 10-15 feet
away from people barking and whistling at them, and me 10-15 feet away
as well!!!!! The longest down was probably around 8 mins or so, but I
kind of lost track of time, so it could've been longer and we did a
number of reps.
Z also got to play on some elevated walls in
prep for dog walk work in the future and politely greeted 4 people,
including a little girl who was smitten by her (she had her mom take a
pic of Z even!). She only attempted to jump 2 times, and then spent the
rest of the 15 or so minutes I spent talking with them in either a sit
or a down.

She also ignored people walking right by her while in a stay - their feet were literally about 6" away from her head!
All told we spent a full hour working downtown; both girls are exhausted now lol.

I'm so proud!
