Who Has The Day Off?

It's Good Friday and a stat holiday here. I was surprised to learn my DH's American counterparts are working today. No holiday for them! Easter used to be a 4 day weekend. We got the friday and the monday. The monday is only for highschool and under now. My boys in university have classes. So what time off is everyone getting?

What ever it is HAPPY EASTER!!!!

Absolutely NOTHING. *sigh* It always annoys me a bit because other religions get their days off but we don't. We never did get Monday ... not in my 53 1/2 years of recollection but I miss Good Friday and it's a long haul til Memorial Day!

Nothing off for me either - I work Tues to Sat though, I I get Sun/Mon off anyway.

Since I work 2 jobs, I have two days off, yesterday and Sunday. As a teacher, we had off Thurs., Fri., and Monday, but as a petshotel worker at petsmart I have to work Fri., Sat., and Mon.

Sigh, someday I'll only be working one job and I'll get that 5 day weekend...

I'm off today and next week, too...Spring Break! Heading out to PA to visit friends. Hope I can get out of Chicago with all the snow we are getting.

I get a lot of holidays but not Easter/Good Fri. Which is fine. I really don't celebrate them anyway. And, like I said - I get a lot of holidays off so I can't complain.

Nope, we are in the office today...and there is a blizzard going on!!! The owner is VERY tight with holidays...he doesn't even give X-mas Eve off although 99% of everyone takes it as vacation. At the last place I used to work at we used to get 1/2 day today.

well technically I do...but I don't work LOL. Well not like that...dh is at work. My Mom used to get it sometimes as a "floater" sometimes it was Good Friday other times Cinco De Mayo, just some random day since they get 2 floaters per annum.

We don't get any time off around Easter -- but I'm not working today. :o) I'm doing my laundry at the moment and we're heading out some time after noon for an agility trial down in Chicago.

Leaving early to give ourselves PLENTY of time because right now the WI/Chicago area is getting smacked by a load of totally UNNEEDED snow. Argh.

I'm working today too and if it were so beautiful outside, I really wouldn't care. We get March 31st off for Cesar Chavez Day (yay!), so at least I have something to look forward to soon.

We have the Friday and the Monday as public holidays, here. And then in less than a month we get a day for ANZAC day.
