Mindless Chatter - FRIDAY!

OMG we are expecting ANOTHER f-ing snow storm today. MAKE IT STOP!!!! Where I live they are expecting 2-6, in Ann Arbor up to 10. I will be in Ann Arbor until about 9PM I may leave early. We have an agility fun match tonight. I have a friend coming from about 2 hours away so I want to be there to keep her company.

Just goes to show my mother was always right. She said there was always a snow storm near her birthday. Her birthday would have been tomorrow.

OK I am about scream. My boss is ARGUING with me about what I am reading on The Weather Channel. I told her I am looking at my zip code, she is looking at Ann Arbor. Yet she is ARGUING that I am wrong. WTF!!!!! I am so sick of her always right holier than thou attitude it just makes me nauseated. I don't know what happened to her. She used to be great to work for. Personally I think she needs to take a leave and get her life in order.

I don't want to hear any "yeahs" about no work I am at work as I type. Of course I have no plans of doing any. LOL
 

Ewwwww. It should not be allowed to snow after the first day of spring! So decree-eth I.

I'm off this morning to run around with the BF's mom, who has the day off work. Going to take my car in to get inspected, maybe go buy some stuff at Walmart, good times! 

Ewww Ann, that sucks that you are still deailing with snow.  If I could bottle you up some of our sunny, warm weather, I would send it your way!

 I'm not going to mention that I am off today.  I'll just say that I'm not in the office today, & I'm hoping to enjoy the day.

We have a meeting this morning, but the rest of the day is free to do what we like.  I'm pretty sure that we'll take to dogs for a hike, & I really need to go to the barn for a ride.

Oh Amanda you must go ride!!! I went out last night to ride Pete (we have just started him back) he was LITERALLY dripping in steaming mud! He had a good time yesterday outside. Nope didn't ride! I told DH he has to go out with me on Sat evening and help me chisel the mud off. Perhaps he will roll in the snow and clean himself? Nah not my horse he loves to be dirty.

Yes this snow coming sucks. It is almost all melted except the plow piles too.

I forgot to mention we took all three for a walk yesterday together. I had the two Goldens DH had Belle. We got to the park and we let Max and Belle off leash to romp (poor Teddi not allowed yet). Maxine is RUNNING like an idiot keeping up with Belle, they are biting at each other having a grand ol time, then I realize "Max take it easy you still have half the walk to go to make it home!" Man was she dragging by the time we got home. Silly dog! I love that she can still be that way. She was a happy dog last night.

I ride both english & western, though I haven't ridden western since last April, when I put my western horse down.  The horse that I'm currently working with is a thoroughbred, who came off the track last year.  Jinxx & I are still learning to work together, so some days are better than others.  He's has the potential to be a nice jumper. 

Ann, I'm pretty sure that you ride english, do you jump?

OH YEAH!!!!! ME LOVE JUMPERS!!!! Pete was supposed to be my Amateur Owner Jumper. We competed two seasons in the Adult Jumpers. The first season I shared him with the guy who owned him, I bought him at the end of that season. I wish I could post pics, I gotta get a pic website.

I have ridden TB's my whole life, my favorite breed. Take your time, especially with an OTTB, it will be well worth it. Don't be afraid to put a leg on him either. Funny but I find it actually quiets them down to be "told" what to do. TB's make GREAT 13 yr olds. We have had Pete in our barn since he was 4 (we thought he was 5 coming 6 oops). I got the pleasure of getting to ride him semi regularly after about his first year with us. I was ALWAYS in love with him. He has slowly and steadily improved every year. I was hoping to try to show once or twice this year before he hurt himself. We "might" make a late summer show we will have to see. He has not jumped or anything since late August, he hurt himself 9/4. TB's love consistency too. Pete is off the track but never raced. I think he would not have anything to do with the starting gate. He was bred to be the winner. He is one of the quietest horses I know. Not a spook in him...unless other horses start spooking and give him the idea.

 I think that the weather people are wrong. It's not going to snow. That's my prediction and I'm sticking to it.

Actually we're not supposed to get much snow here at all, which is fine with me. I'm taking Neiko and Lily to their first herding lesson tomorrow so we could do without the snow.

Yikes, that looks cold and dreary. Sorry but you can all come here to play outside. It's not as warm as where Amanda is, but it's sunny and in the low 70s for the next several days.

 I'm depressed now!

Wow - that's beautiful. Crystal clear too. I meant to say Paige up above not Amanda - oops. I think it's the avatar that confuses me . It's probably nicer in Texas than it is in Michigan though :)
