I met the rudest dog owner today...

I took a dog I walk Bailey, yellow female lab, and Apollo to the dog park today. There was a young man there with his brindle and white male bulldog. The dog came running over to us. Not a problem. The dogs sniffed a bit then Apollo and Bailey went into the water. Well the bulldog came over to me, I gave him a little pat on the back and he started wiggling his nubby tail....and then....he grabbed ahold of my leg, and started going to town Surprise !!!! I tried to shake him off, but the dog really had a hold of me!! So I tried to walk away, the dog just held on to my leg. I yelled to the owner, "hey!! can you call him off or something?!" he started laughing, hysterically, and said "oh, he does it to everyone he likes"....GROSS Ick! . The owner didn't do anything, just stood there laughing and watching. He then said something to the dog, like "dude, we need to get you a girlfriend!". I grabbed the dog by the collar and pried him off finally. What the heck?! If Apollo ever did that to a person or dog I would be there immediatly getting him off. I think it's extremely rude to let your dog do that. Needless to say I couldn't wait to get home and change my pants. Embarrassed

Honestly, I was just pretty embarrassed....there was an older couple, man and women, across the way with their old looking spaniel just watching me...it was a really weird moment.

You shoulda said "well thats dominance behaviour, how would you like it if I came to the park and started humping your dog"?

Another dumb dog owners, he needs to realize thats rude in doggy language and could really make some dog mad one day.

LOL....No, I like bulldogs, they're pretty cool dogs...I just don't like any dog humping me!!

Whoa now, you gotta warn us when such cuteness is about to be exposed. And I think your lying, i think your a breedist against humping....I bet if it was a poodle you would think it was cute, LOL......J/K!

I just had two friends buy bulldog puppies, I told them I cant come over until they have passed the puppy stage to avoid spontaneous puppy buying on my part, lol.

So whatcha gonan do if you run into Mr. Hump dog again, lol?

Your dog didnt say "exscuse me, that is my human and I'll do the humpin around here"?

No, Apollo was too busy playing in the water with his buddy....he probably glanced over and laughed in his head though... Stick out tongue

Oh YECK !!!!! NASTY to the NTH degree .... Angry I would have had to say more than you did and I doubt it would have been printable on any list! Of course reading this with a friend I busted out laughing her response was She would have to J*rk him off... then realizing what she had said agreed "pry" was a far better word to use Devil !!! Realizing the dog was a very strong dog I sympathize with you greatly. Isn't there a park cop you could have complained to??? Maybe you should carry a water bottle with you that you could splash on an overly amourous and poorly trained mutt like that.... if you carried two bottles you could splash the dog too ! Wink

Seriously...lol...it was like this dog grew two human hands and literally grabbed me and wouldn't let go....lol.

Obviously the owner is not very well informed either. That was rude to not pull his dog off, AND apologize to you.

That happened to me a while back only the dog jumped on Teddi. This was before her surgery I had two dogs in my hands and this dog jumped on Teddi and would not get off. I was worried he was hurting her hip. It took a while but FINALLY someone came to rescue Teddi from the lust grip.

I've had a huge Golden wrap his front legs over my shoulders and dig his claws in while he proceeded to hump me(imagine a conga line) whilst i walked the full length of a school field.I could NOT get him off,and every time i tried he growled at me.He had a thing for my female who was in season at the time and i must have had her scent or something on me. His owner finally noticed and managed to pull him off. I couldnt get angry as he was usually a sweet dog.
