I'm getting a puppy!

Time for an "official announcement" because I'm so excited about it! I will be flying out to Colorado on April 1st to pick up my PUPPY! I've been looking for an Alaskan Klee Kai for a couple of months now. Originally I thought I'd wait, but the timing is right and I decided to go for it. Here she is:

She is a mini Alaskan Klee Kai, brown-eyed female born 1-24-08 from Klee Kai Kennelette. Originally I was planning on a boy, but after much deliberation I decided that Luke might be happier with a girl in the house (all of his friends are girls, after all). I'm also looking forward to being able to feed my pink obsession and FINALLY be able to buy up all of those cute collar & leash sets that I can't get away with on Luke. lol

I've picked the name S*u*k*a (for some reason the board edits it out like it's a naughty word!). It means "fast" in Inuit, which I foresee to be a good omen as she's to be a future agility dog.

It's been four years since I've gone through the puppy stage, so I'm a little anxious about it. I'm also a little apprehensive over how "Mr. Spoiled Beyond Words" is going to handle the change in our life. You can believe I'll be posting lots of puppy reports & questions in the coming months!

How cute she is! We are doing a puppy again after 4 years.... it was definately a big change. You forget how "busy" puppies are. Although we were thinking about getting a pup in a few more years, we too were concerned about how our spoiled Shadow would take to having an "intruder". We lost Shadow in Jan. to cancer. Couldnt take the quiet of the house so it was puppy time again. Rocky has been fun and definately entertaining. He is very good in the house, a little rowdier outside. Get ready to be attentive! Ha!

Congratulations.. something more to add to my puppy itch! (My relief is coming in 1 1/2yrs.. i am dying!)

Make sure to post tons of pictures when she arrives!

Liesje -- AKK come in three sizes -- Standard, miniature & toy. The AKK that I know personally is a miniature and I wanted something about her size. But yes, she will be fairly small & petite.

And lol -- Thanks for all of the reminders about how my already hectic life is going to be that much more frantic! She will get to come to work with me and I don't worry about that -- I'm more worried about losing my "downtime" when we're at home. Wink No doubt Luke will enjoy an excuse to go outside a million times a day to play.

Woohoo!!!! Another AKK on the forum! I'm super-excited, and can't wait for more pictures when she comes home! I can't get over how much she reminds me of baby Honor, except your girl has brown eyes. And they're both miniatures!

She's adorable, and I'm happy for you..but since it's pretty pointless to say this after the dog's home, and yours isn't, and I just can't help myself.. I googled your breeder, and they have THIRTY dogs at a time..does that seem like a HUGE number to anyone else? A bit..mill-ish?
