    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

OK, I have garden fever really really bad, I so wanted to start getting the soil ready, rows plotted out and all that jazz, I am feeling hemmed in, cabin fever and anxious/depressed all at the same time.

I WANT TO GO OUT AND PLAY IN THE DIRT DANG IT!

Gardening relaxes me, gives me time to work out my troubles, soothes my soul and gives me balance. It is my therapy of choice. Since I can only do small scale gardening at my home due to lot size and the fact that I rent my home. So I rent a space (30x30) from the city at the community garden. This is less than a mile from my home, they provide the space, rental on equipment and water. Last year it worked wonders on my sanity. I spent hours there and had a wonderful harvest despite the drought. And here is my vent..............

They were to start working the soil over March 5th, depending on weather. Well guess what, that week we had a snowstorm that dropped a foot of snow in 2 days and melted in 4, now that the ground could actually dry out so they can get in there what happens? Yep, you guessed it, mother nature strikes again, this time folks it is estimated that over the next 24 hours we are going to get:

    3-5 inches of rain

Last year kind of started the same way, I just wish that the rain would hold off a couple of weeks and let the ground dry out. I was late getting into the garden last year because of  the weather and I am chomping at the bit this year. I would like to work the soil while it is still loose enough instead of hard baked.

The only bright spot is that Friday is my birfday and it is suppose to be 61 and somewhat sunny, yippee doo dah!

    Vent over.................

Dont you love Kentucky?!  I hate rain. I hate any bad weather that keeps me indoors. I need to be outside!!

JJ just put down grass seed and I unfortunately informed him of the rain after he had it all down. And then I found him putting the grass seed where I had a spot of ground cleared off of grass and weeds for my tulips. Men!! That's all I can say.

You can come to my house if you want and help me plant flowers!! I still have to figure out what to plant and where.

Hopefully it'll be nice on Easter. It'll be Samantha's first time Easter egg hunting.

I totally know the feeling.  Now that our beds are all cleaned out I can hardly stand not to go on a shopping spree for new plants!  Not only is it pouring rain here, but I am working over 60 hour weeks and just simply don't have time to go outside and play.  I have had horrible cabin fever for weeks now b/c it has been really nice outside here.  I still have a month left of being couped up in my office.  Luckily, my boss is leaving town next weekend and I have every intention of playing outside the entire time!

I hear ya! I used to live in Oregon! LOL Move here! 360 days with sunshine every year! It's easier to add water than to take it away, huh? LOL
