    Help me be strong...

With my impending move from apartment to acreage, I've been absolutely itching to get another dog. I've already established I will be taking Loki (chow/shepherd cross) from my parents, who neglect him as soon as I move. However, I'm so so so itching to get another dog! DH and I have discussed getting a kai ken puppy in a year or so, but stuff like this really tempts me:http://calgary.craigslist.org/pet/292790096.html

Also, I wanted a pitty so bad, but my husband said he could never love a pittie because a mean one attacked him when he was a kid [:(].

Anyway, someone talk some sense into me and tell me it's better to just wait a year to get another dog!

Awww what a cutie! Too bad you couldn't get a Pit Bull. They are such wonderful animals.....maybe your husband just needs to meet some very nice and gentle Pitties to get a different perspective from them.

But I can see where he is coming from. I got bit by a Rottweiler and ever since then I have been a bit scared of them.  Its hard to overcome a fear!

Moving takes a lot of time and money.  Puppies take a lot of time and money.  Don't put yourself in a position of not being able to do the things that you want to do with the puppy because you got involved in a move.

Introducing a new pup to Loki may be easier than introducing a teenager or an adult.  Visits just won't be the same as living together.

If you get a puppy now it will be a teenager when you move.  Puppy teenagers can be little hellions.

    Does that help?  [;)]

Thanks, that's exactly what I wanted to hear. Well... needed to hear.
