    As a first-generation Irish-Canadian - I thank you!

I went to the same school as Loreena (at a different time of course) and she came and played at a few of our assemblies, it was amazing.

    VanMorrison, how fun!!

Thanks for the thread idea :) I really like this band:

They're from New Zealand. The link is to an mp3 sales site for one of their albums - it could be yours for a whopping $1.17!

With ancestors named McGillicuddy, I am pretty sure these are Irish eyes!  Big Smile  I really miss my friends today - St. Patrick's Day was always a big event with us... I actually got a little teary about it this weekend... although that might have been the alcohol talking.  (BF's dad's birthday blow-out was Saturday.)

I'm proud of my Irish background but not the temper I inherited. Lol! *dances to the songs*

I'm irish through and through. Once you hear my last name there is no hiding it ;) The red hair goes along with my reputation and nicknames at work -big red and firecracker. Anyone else make corned beef and cabbage today??????? Pass the mustard..........

I've got Irish in me too! More German, but the rest is all Irish - including the temper!

We had corned beef yesterday, since Mondays we all have crazy schedules and are all home at different times. The dogs enjoyed the feast too (but not the cabbage, they would be sleeping on the porch if they did!) =]

We had our celebration yesterday.  My mom always makes the works: corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, soda bread, etc.  It was fun, I just wish we could celebrate in Ireland some day!  We still have family that live there, and it would be really cool.
