    Mindless Chatter - Sunday

Despite being woken up by Dakota a few times last night, I slept soooo good! I actually feel well rested for once.

I went to my brothers for my Nieces bday last night. We had a great time. She got this twister dance game and we were all up playing it. It was hilarious.

I also went to a friends yesterday with all 3 dogs. She has a doggy paradise for a back yard. Underground tunnels, big fat tires, a huge pool, woods to run through and a full agility course. I worked with Neiko and Lily on the agility course and just let Dakota run around. They all had fun. There were quite a few other dogs there for them to play with too. At one point, Neiko was racing this other dog around the agility course. They were flying over the jumps together neck in neck, going through tunnels, tires, teeters, etc. It's was fun to watch.

I introduced Lily to the dog walk for the first time. At first she was pretty scared but after she figured out that the dog walk produced lots of treats, she wouldn't get off it! Anyway, I have lots to work on with both dogs on object and handler focus. I figured out that I can't do front crosses with neiko - he's just too fast.

Today I have laundry to do and a little cleaning. We have disc dog practice and I want to get them all to the park. There's something else I'm forgetting too but I can't think of it!

P.S. Hi Ann! I got your message last night, cracked me up haha

Somebody shoot me now plz... I feel ten times WORSE then yesterday and I'd stay in bed if I could. But I've got my last first aid course today so I have to go...

Woohoo! Second person to post on these.. Finally.. Lol..

Bought Maze some soup bones yesterday but she doesn't seem to interested in it yet.. Hmmm..

Well guess I have to get dressed and walk Maze before I go...

This will be a real "dog day afternoon."  Firs I have rally practice with Kenya.  Then I'm doing a home check for the Mississippi Valley GSD Rescue.  Then I'm driving east to pick up my first foster dog from a neighboring county.  I think I'll be calling in sick tomorrow b/c I want her to see a vet and a groomer ASAP.

AH! I can't wait to *not* have roommates. SOMEONE ate the rest of my starburst jelly beans. Now I've got a real hankering for them and I don't even have any! Why would you eat someone's candy like that? Plus, I'll have the whole pantry to myself. And the A/C won't always have to be sub-zero. Yep, I can't WAIT until this house gets sold.

Nice morning - got up late, went for a walk with the dogs in the 70 degree temps outside (with sun!), etc. - until my fiance had to leave to head back to school.  I hate being 600 miles from him and goodbyes are AWFUL!!!!!

On the plus side he was here for over a week for his spring break and this is the last time I'm not going to see him for this long - the wedding is 10 *weeks* away!!!!!!!!!!!!!  No more 6-10 week stretches between seeing him. Big Smile

Now if only he gets a good job offer between now and the wedding....

I'm going to try to stay busy today: laundry is in right now, may go hiking with a friend later this afternoon, and I have a lot of catch up work on my monthly expense charting and adjusting my monthly budget.  Plus I have to see if i can swing going to GA for a few days to hang out with some friends from another board and their dogs - 3 hour drive, $100 cabin rental, etc.  And I need to mail checks for bills and submit my taxes so i can get my huge refund.  BUSY BUSY (best thing to do imo after the DF leaves).

It's such a sunny day outside!  You can't be sad when it's so pretty out, so I took Honor for a long walk before we head to my mom's house.  My family is hugely Irish, so we're celebrating St. Patrick's Day early tonight.  Our St. Patrick's Day celebration always contains the works: corned beef, cabbage, soda bread, potatoes, green soda, dancing, music, etc.  It's Honor's first St. Patrick's Day, and I hope she likes it.

And I found the cutest Easter dress at work.  It's a little nicer than a casual sundress, and it's the most gorgeous baby-chick-yellow.  I can't wait to wear it!

Well, I had quite a list of stuff to do.  And, so far I'm only half done.  I spent tons of time hiking and walking yesterday and today.  Which, I love, but it takes up time.  I'm going food shopping now, then need to stop at another store.

I've asked DH to please vacuum and dust.  So, hopefully, he will.  I think he will.

I don't know what the heck to do with Willow's diet situation.  The z/d is NOT helping the runny poop.  It did for a couple of days while she was still on the Metro.  She's eating well and everything is fine except that.  And, the thing that kills me is her skin looks really good.  The groomer even commented yesterday.

She needs beet pulp in her food.  It's sad but true.

I feel for you on the food thing. Today was the first day that Dakota actually had normal poop. So I'm thinking that the Iams low residue is helping - well that or the steriods - or both.

I wore Neiko out for the first time in a long time today (that's nearly impossible to do). I first took all 3 dogs to the dog park where Neiko chased a gray hound for a good 10 mins (the gray hound was toying with him) Then I took him to the park where we worked on frisbee. Neiko was focused for once and worked HARD! It was awesome. He was vaulting off my body, jumping over my legs and leaping in the air like a pro. It was great. I worked him to the ground then let him and Lily run around and sniff. Now they are in their crates sleeping :)

Of course, everyone is muddy - including me. But I'm too lazy to give them all baths so I'm going to let them dry off in their crates then I'll brush them out.

I am WORN out!  I got up early this morning and got a few hours of work in.  Then while I was working hubby decided to pick us up some lunch.  He asked for my car keys and they were no where to be found.  I looked for 2 hours for those stupid things and even broke down crying.  I told him I was totally stressed out, which I am, and that just threw me over the edge even as stupid as it sounded.  He did just the right thing and gave me a hug and told me it would be OK and we would find them.  We knew they were in the house somewhere b/c we drove my car home last night and used them to unlock the door.  I guess I just needed to cry.  I looked under every cushion and in every nook and cranny in my house.  While doing this, I realized how filthy my house really was which mean that I did a major cleaning today as well.  Vacuumed in places that haven't seen daylight since we moved in.  Dusted everything really really well.

While I was cleaning hubby went out and dug up a bunch of nandina in our front beds and cut down a weed that had literally become a tree.  He also raked leaves.  The front of our house already looks so much better.  I need to go out and trim the holly and boxwoods that are left b/c he is determined to hire someone and I am determined to save the money and buy stuff for the beds.  Now I need to figure out what to plant out there to make sure we have plenty of blooming stuff but always have something green when things aren't in bloom, something that won't take over like the nandina did and something that will live through our very hot summers and sort of cold winters...oh and doesn't need a TON of sun!  I have my work cut out for me but I can't wait to get something planted.  Working over 60 hour weeks with this beautiful weather really makes me want to get outside and play in the dirt.  Even though I didn't get out there more than to put my two cents in a couple times, it sure feels good to have our yard and beds looking nicer.

The keys did show up.  They were in my lunch bag that had been sitting on the front table last night.  When he threw them on the table they must have landed in there but I had put it up this morning and it never even occured to me to look there until I was looking for the headband that I wore yesterday that was also in that bag.

Harley and Izzy are both on a new food.  It is the Hills g/d.  As much as I hate doing it, anytime I find something decent that will meet the low protein needs for Izzy, she won't eat it.  Now they both need low sodium as well for the time being and that is what the vet suggested.  I am using it for now until I have time to do some research but it is really hard to find.  I finally found it 30 minutes away and it is going really fast with them both eating it.  I am going to have to find a better solution...maybe I need to buy more than one bag at a time.  They have EKG's this Friday and then we will determine if they need the low sodium food still or if the heart sounds were just my thirsty stressed out pups.

YOU can't wait not to have room mates?  Housemates, whatever they are STINK!

They just got done having sex.  The bedroom is right below my office.  Didn't sound terribly exciting and the noise lasted less than one minute.......and these are really YOUNG people.  Good golly, us old farts, never mind......

I too am wiped out.  Worked today, spent time with Mom, came home and bathed all six dogs, so also soaking wet.  Then, realized that the kitchen rug in front of the sink was soaked and got under there to look, and oh gee, my little cleaning caddy thing was FULL of water and running over.  The drain pipe was clogged enough that it forced the pipe going into it out just enough to leak like crazy.  Snaked it out with a coat hanger and it drained so put it back together and hoped for the best.....at least until I'm out of here.  THEN it can flood the place for all I care.

I think I have an ear infection, I woke up feeling even dizzier than usual (am usually dizzy from my meds) and then around lunchtime my ear started to hurt.  Guess I am going to be making a trip to my GP.  Sigh.  Just in the past hour or so I've felt like I might be getting a migraine, too.  I think I am going to curl up and fall asleep in front of a movie, it's 1:30 am.

Happy St Paddys day! It's Monday here.

Things have been crazy hectic around here- I've barely had time to eat.

I am super p.oed and a little freaked out- I came home and found some loser had opened my mail and stolen my 4 i-clickers I ordered specially from the States! Angry (Clicker's are super expensive over here- like $8) I bet they didnt even know what they were...I hope that my s&h insurance will cover it. I was really excited about having more than 1 clicker at home too. Sad.

What's even worse though is that the back gate was open and the dogs were out in the front yard (which doesnt have 6 ft fencing). I wonder if the same person that stole my mail had tried to break into my house... Luckily nothing was stolen and both dogs were still home.

I am really annoyed about my clickers.
