    georgia friends--everyone okay?

I know we have a few from georgia...just wanted to make sure everyone was okay! i was watching the SEC tournament last night and saw the severe weather hit the georgia dome. Today i saw some pictures and it looks like there was a lot of damage!

I live in a southern suburb of Atlanta, and we are ok here.  It seems as if we had storms all night, but no damage in my neighborhood.  We have some friends that go to our church that lives in Atlanta that had damage to their condo.  They were made to leave for the night.  I hope everyone else is ok also.

I'm in a northern suburb and we're ok up here. DH was at work in town yesterday evening, but his restaurant is ok. It's still really bad out right now....actually tornado sirens going off, but here I am online. Confused I'm supposed to leave for work in an hour, not looking forward to it.

I'm about an hour south of Atlanta, and it missed coming here.  We are under a tornado watch today though, until 7 pm.  I dunno why, as I can't see any storms on radar.  Maybe they haven't shown up yet...I hate tornado watches...makes me edgy all day.

Oh drat, now the watch has been extended until 1 am.  It's worse when it's dark!

The reports say another tornado struck in north  GA today, and 1 person killed.

Yikes, here's hoping for some calmer weather to keep everyone safe!

Yikes, I flew out of atlanta airport last nite at 8:30pm, I had no idea there was even a storm!  I hope everyone there stays safe!

Ugh, I got stuck in the worst storm you could imagine on my way to work today. It appeared to be clearing up about 1:00, and I thought about going on late, but my husband encouraged me to go ahead and go in, so I left my house...about five minutes after I left the bottom dropped out. I'm surprised I made it to work without wrecking my van. I couldn't see more than two feet in front of me, the road I was on was flooding and I felt like my car was being blown from side to side. At one point I noticed I was not in my lane, but in the middle of the road. It didn't matter because I was the only idiot out driving. When I pulled into the parking lot it started to hail and the sirens were going off. I ran inside and once I got in I started crying. I called DH to tell him I got to work safely, and I think I woke him up from a nap!!!! I found out later two people died in that crap my dumb a$$ was driving around in.

I don't live anywhere near the damaged areas, still in GA though. I hope everyone there are ok.  We had some pretty bad storms a couple of weeks ago, but we don't have any really large population centers that could be hit.

We didn't have any big damage, here, that I know of. Our power went out, from all the wind, but that was about it for the excitement.
