    The Staff Bull Terrier, is still referred to as the "Nanny Dog". I believe it was a term for Staffordshire Bull Terriers which aren't APBT, tho of course they're related.

    Staff's are still a small, compact powerful breed and I think some of those pics at least the really early one's could indeed be Staffordshire Bull Terriers?

    Ya its kinda hard to distinguish in these old pics which are which but I got a kick outta these pics. Primo is supposed to be a Staffie but he is WAY to big to be a staffei even by modern day standards.
