Hey YOU pick up your dog's pooh !!!

Grrrrr this is a huge peeve of mine. People bring along dogs to events and complain they aren't treated as well as they think they should be or that they have to pay a deposit. IF THEY'D PICK UP THE DOG MESS THAT WOULD NOT HAPPEN!!! We are at a RV rally in Georgia. I brought 2 of my RRs with us. I set up an ex pen and my pooper scooper and bucket. My camp site is tidy and nice looking. There must be 5-6 thousand people here. And many brought dogs. Most are teeny tiny dogs , but there are a few big kids like mine, A Wiem, a couple of pointers, boxers and danes. We big dog folks are never seen without a bag to pick up pooh. The little dog folks never seem to have one, ever! Walking my furkids earlier there was a man with a mutt and a Boston Terrier. He wandered about them assuring everone how friendly they are and how much they loved to be petted etc... As he is talking about what great traveling buddies they are for the wifie and him both dogs begin to potty and pooh . Now I am sure most of you know that some dogs simply have to walk while they potty making sure they spread it as much as possible....

I politely listened to his stories as the dogs did thier business and waited for him to pull our a bag. No bag. I pulled out two of mine. He waved me off as I offered them , "That's okay", he said with a smile." It's tiny turds like my dogs and we don't have to pick them up.  ((!!!!))"

Going by the number of small sized piles I guess most of the little dog folk think this way ! Only two days into the Rally and it is already becoming a mine field! With a brand new coach that has cream colored carpets I don't want this stuff being tracked into my rig!  I bit my tongue and once again offered bags, he looked perplexed then said "it will desolve into the grass..." Gritting my teeth I explained about the probability of stepping into it and tracking it into the RVS, he began to look a tad uncomfortable, but when I pointed out many , many illnesses are transmitted by feces he took the offered bags.  Why should we have to educated grown folks on something so basic?  It does not make sense to me! My back yard is kept clean, I pick up my front yard because people let thier mangy mutts out to potty in everyone else's yard.  Now we are running the risk of not being able to bring our dogs to the Rally because of morons who think it is a right to leave thier pet waste everywhere. Yeck !!

Oh my goodness. I have big dogs and little dogs. The big dogs are nice and poop in the woods. Kujo poops 10 feet from the house door. I watch her to see where she poops so I can pick it up. Wanna know why?! It's nasty and I would be the one to step in it. So since I dont want to step in it I sure as heck dont want any unexpected guest coming over, stepping in it, and tracking it in my house.

So I know what you are getting at Bonita. Poop is poop. No matter how big or small it is. No matter where if it's at home or somewhere else. Pick it up poeple!!

    Hope I helped!!Big Smile

At least he finally picked it up!  It's funny you should mention this, as I've recently been irritated with the amount of poop around my apartment complex.  It doesn't matter how big or small the dog is, you can still step in it and it will still pass disease.  I hope the rest of the rally goes well, and maybe seeing you be responsible will sink in for other owners!

I had a neighbour like this.  She would let her two little dogs out her back door and they would promptly run over to my back yard and poop in my yard.  Never did see ever come over to clean it up, never did she ever put her dogs on a leash (considering none of the yards were fenced)  So when i finally caught on to what was happening (which didn't take too long, only a couple of weeks) I started letting my large 70 lb GSD X Border Collie out the back door on his leash.  I knew his temperment, he wouldn't hurt them and I figured if anything did happen on the little dogs part I was only 10 feet away in the house anyway.   The little white dog would take off rinning home barking, and the little black one would stick around and play with my dog.  They thought it was great!  When  the lady who owned them heard the white dog barking she opened the door and you could hear her ever so panicked voice trying to call him back. (because my big dog who was goign to do no more then sniff his butt and wag his big ole tail was a little dog eating monster you know!!)

It took about a month of this routine before I think she caught on.  Or maybe she didn't.  She just started letting them out the front door instead so they could poop on her front lawn.  If they had started pooping on MY front lawn I would have started the same routine out there too Stick out tongue

I wouldn't have had a problem with the dogs in the yard, if she would have just come over to clean it up.  I guess I'm evil, but oh well.   My dog stopped stepping in little dog poo and bringing in the house!

I guess he never stepped on a tiny little turd or he'd know that they squish all over the soles of your shoes just like big turds. Angry
