come on now...be brave and vote honestly!

Body hair, facial hair, any kind of non head hair...do you secretly wish sometimes that leaving things as they are, were 100% the norm where you live?

    • Yes! I'd save money and time...or for other reasons. (41.8%)
    • No! I'd be a rebel and shave anyways...I like being smooth. (47.3%)
    • This poll scares me and I refuse to vote either way! (10.9%)

To be honest, I can't vote either way and it's not because I'm scared. Let's just say that some of us don't care whether body hair is "normal" or not. It's natural and nothing to be ashamed of. Wink

I despise the War on Hair... would that I were less indoctrinated into our cultural beauty norms that au naturale didn't bother me. Stick out tongue

Man, I miss Cressida, even if she's not big on the training discussions anymore she was always a wealth of information on these sorts of Very Important debates! Wink

I voted the same way, not because I'm scared-but because it really doesn't matter.

I agree with Julie on the arm hair thing.

I wear jeans all the time. Never wear shorts. I like jeans no matter if it's 100+ degrees out. And sometimes I get lazy and dont shave my legs (seemed to happen alot more after having Samantha).Surprise

No need to be sorry. Smile  I can't imagine shaving it off all the time.

I shave underarms/legs every day regardless of my plans. It's just part of my shower routine.

When I lived in Germany, most of the women didn't shave their legs or underarms. The underarm hair was gross on any woman I saw. The leg hair on a young girl, especially with light hair, wasn't bad at all. The older women with hairy legs though Ick!

Yes, the newer style razor blades are astronomically priced.

EYuCK!!! I can't stand the feel of putting lotion on hairy legs.  It just grosses me out.  I don't even have the kind of hair on my legs that anyone would notice unless you got close up, but I still have to get rid of it.  Armpit hair is another thing.  How do you put deoderant on if you have hairy pits?  Wouldn't it get all crusty in there?  Ew!

Honestly, I'd shave everything aside from my head if I it was more convenient.  But some areas can get rather akward, especially with a big baby belly in the way....Embarrassed

I wish I could shave every day, but with my sensitive skin if I don't wait several days I get a horrible rash, no matter what I try (lotions, creams, new razors, whatever). Waxing works a lot better, but hurts and is a PITA. I'm probably going to get lasered some time this year - before the summer hits if I get my act together! It's expensive, but if it makes my life as much easier as shaving etc. make it harder, then it will be totally worth it.

Um... Have you ever known a man? They manage just fine. I use a pump spray anyway. Stick out tongue I can't believe that people are so "grossed out". Don't you guys have husbands? Do they shave their armpits and legs? Are they gross? There's nothing gross about hair. It's just all in what you're used to, I guess.

Sorry, Gina I didn't mean to sidetrack your  thread with my gross-ness! LOL Wink

    Agreed!!

Any shaving I do has nothing to do with "beauty", society, or the norm. I don't have a boyfriend, and never wear shorts, skirts, or tank tops..so no one but me ever sees my legs or armpits. I only shave my legs when the hair bothers me (usually once every week or so..it doesn't grow terribly quickly, and it's pretty much invisible), but I shave my armpits every time I shower. Not only do I hate putting deodorant on hairy pits, I swear they sweat more when they have hair. Hmm

I didn't mean to offend anyone.  Tyler uses a different kind of deoderant than I do.  Its a spray, I don't like them, they're cold.  And ya actually I do think his hairy legs are gross.  I will not put lotion on him, it just gives me the heebie jeebies.   Sorry if that offends you.

Oh, not at all! I'm not offended. I just don't understand. Smile  But that's ok.
