we have family in Ada, which is pretty far south of there, so I've only been to OKC once...

They have Arena Football I think...and minor league Baseball...they had an NBA team playing there, but unsure if they still do...and frequent rodeo. Bricktown is the nice new wannabe Riverwalk place they made...it was very nice. Restaurants and clubs and whatnot. That's all I got...lol.

Thanks well thats a start anyway, we are from England, so baseball would be something different, its worth a thought.

Oh I see! Yes baseball is a wonderful low key way to spend the day, IMO. I checked and the team is the Oklahoma RedHawks...you or your family member can buy tix ahead of time but typically minor league tix are usually available day of. Here's their webpage if you want to check it out.

SHOOT...they might not be playing yet...the Rangers are a major league team and they'll be playing there on the 28th but I think that's later than your visit??

Thought of something else...interesting day trip MIGHT be to OU...University of Oklahoma. Not sure how visitor friendly they are but it's a big campus and the kids might find it interesting to walk around...they have some little horses and a wagon as a mascot...not sure if those are kept on campus....but that could be fun. My kids loved walking around my husbands alma mater and looking at their mascots which were Bears.

Just another thought I had...OU is in Norman which is a bit south...but close enough for a day trip I'd think.
