I have 3 very very very happy pups now… Thanks to you idogers!

I have spent hours lurking in part because I didn’t have anything to offer (kinda shy and never did a forum before), and partly because I wanted more for my pups. I have learned SO much here: nutrition; behavior; training; grooming… couldn’t find anything in my area, until I found this forum!

Reading all the posts w/pics about dog parks… oh how I wished there where some around here. You gave me the idea to post a “Doggie Play Date” on craigslist and viola… there is an “unofficial” dog park about 30-40 minutes from my house!!! Woohoo I have a public place to meet the people/pups that respond to the play date… we now have a play date group of 5 people and 9 dogs to go on walks with!!! We are all still trying to sort out schedules BUT we get the pups together in parks and recreation areas to run and play at least twice a week plus the dog park meet!

A special “Thank You” to Rupert for Wubba (you made them look so fun), I just HAD to get the pups each one… they all absolutely love them. But Sadie asked me to send her “woo wooo woooo” (yes that is a quote from her) Luv ya Rupert!

    BTmomma please check your PM…

NOT THAT WE DON'T WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU....

I'm so glad you have found a playgroup for your pups!  How great is that!

What beautiful dogs you have. I just want to say, someone may have already mentioned this - for precautionary reasons you should not let your dogs drink from water at the park. Take your own supply for them and watch them carefully so that they don't drink standing water at the park. Recently, at a local dog park that we used to frequesnt, someone put antifreeze in the water and several dogs got very sick and one died. Talk about sick people!!! Not trying to scare you at all, just inform you. (Besides the fact that they can contract some yucky illnesses from standing water or even just an upset tummy - better safe than sorry.)

Welcome to the site - it's a great place to be!! Smile

Thanks everyone! I am just ecstatic with our new group and the pups smile the whole time we are out hiking. They are still intimidated by the large group of dogs at the park so they are Velcro dogs then.

Sorry for the font size, it looked so small on the laptop last night… unfortunately here at work everything is so filtered I can’t get to photobucket, youtube, or half of msn. LOL I did add some more pics to my profile.

Why on earth would anyone go into a dog park and poison the water? Sad… but a good thing to remember.

I haven't had much time to be on here, but Rupert sez, "Yur *squeeek squeeeeek* welcome!" Do your dogs like to shake them and whack themselves in the head with the "tails"? Big Smile

Your pups are very shiny! You should definitely post pics more often.
