I don't watch PeTA commercials...they give me gas.

Sheesh.  This is from PETA's website about the ad:

Emmylou Harris and Dolly Parton are helping bring animal-friendly messages to millions of viewers through two new PETA public service announcements now airing on stations across the country. Dolly donated her bluegrass song “Will He Be Waiting for Me?” for a heartwarming spot starring comic Kathy Najimy as a woman rushing home to take her dog out, reminding people that dogs need company and are miserable when neglected. Emmylou’s commercial was filmed inside Nashville’s Grand Ole Opry and features the singer declaring, “I’m a proud member of some great organizations. One is the Grand Ole Opry. Another is PETA … PETA distributes unwanted furs to the homeless, provides free spay and neuter services and builds doghouses for poverty-stricken families, and has convinced cosmetics companies to replace animal tests with more reliable, humane alternatives.”

Ugh.  Ya, I'm sorry I have to go to WORK every day so I can buy food, toys, medical care, training classes for my dog.  I guess all that stuff makes him miserable.

Oh, forgot to add...this is my favorite part of the posting by PETA: "PETA distributes unwanted furs to the homeless."

Do they splatter them with red paint first?

     Oh, good Lord, are they kidding??? Maybe we should all quit our jobs so Fido won't be lonely ... then maybe when we're homeless, PETA can supply us with a $1000 fur coat they likely stole or was surrendered after their NYC protests where they blasted mothers wearing furs in front of their young children, calling them murderers  Why don't they actually do something worthwhile and actually HELP the homeless (who are NOT going to wear a pricy fur coat). Thankfully, I've never seen a PETA commercial, becuase them I might permanently loose control of my upchuck reflex   Altho, I have seen that distasteful billboard downtown that claims all breeders are greedy doggie killers ... and to that I'll say no breeder has killed more dogs than good ole PETA has ...

honestly the commercial surprised me. was doing house work and heard blue grass..... looked up and saw what was on my tv..

lol peta is the new welfare eh? thats what theyre "claiming" to do with the billions of dollars unsuspecting animal lovers give to them..
