What's a Whisker Walk you Ask?

Well its alot of things ... but mostly its a fun day for families and their dogs PLUS a dog walk-a-thon fundraiser to benefit multiple animal shelters and rescue groups throughout New England.

Dozens of animal rescue groups and pet related vendors/manufacturers/sponsors come together for the first of its kind “event not to be missed” for pet lovers.

Held at the Lancaster Fairground (Home of the Bolton Fair) there are 35 acres for Pet owners and animal lovers to walk and lend a paw for the animals shelters and pet rescues they love and support!

Come see exhibits, demonstrations, educational programs, special attractions, product giveaways, entertainment, auctions/raffles, food, fun and things for adults and kids to see, do and buy – both human and pet related! Click here for a brief list of events and attractions

Top off your exciting day and join us for the Walk - a leisurely (almost) ONE mile stroll on shaded, flat, grassy trails with your well behaved dog (sorry other pets must stay home)

The Whisker Walk Mission

A benefit to raise money and awareness for New England based animal shelters / rescue groups. The Whisker Walk caters to families and their pets and promotes responsible pet ownership / care and education.

Each pet rescue organization participating will have a booth and ability to do their own part of the fundraising walk. These shelters and rescues will have their friends, family and adoptee alumni participate – and/or can participate as much or little as they wish – but they are NOT required to participate in the actual walk.  The animal rescue organizations will share as a collaboration of multiple animal charities all on one property to educate the community about their programs and to have FUN!

It’s a unique twist on a walk-a-thon and an event that’s never been done before! A great forum for a public relations campaign encouraging the general public to adopt a homeless pet from one of their local shelters / rescues and of course, and to show-off the wonderful dogs that we’ve all adopted out.

This event is NOT limited to dog rescue/shelters (but only dogs are allowed to participate in the walk/event.)

Caring for hundreds of thousands of neglected and abandoned animals each year throughout New England is an expensive endeavor and our shelters and programs are growing yearly throughout the region, as is the demand for all of our rescue and animal sheltering services. Since our shelters are NOT funded by the city/state or government every penny really counts! Our New England shelters and rescues count on events such as this to help continue our mission to help the animals of our community and beyond.

Come see, do and buy - and HELP THE ANIMALS!
