Ole and his foster mom will arrive in Anchorage May 13 and I will drive down and meet them. Then we'll go have some excellent and yummy Alaskan dinner! After that I'll drive back to Fairbanks. Wish me luck, that's almost 16 hours of straight driving! I have to be back to work on Monday at 2:30, so I do have a little slack.
OH, while I'm in Anchorage I'm going to meet Acesmom, I hope!
Ole got his first bath (maybe ever in his life!) yesterday and did great. Just loved the attention! He gets along with everyone and all the animals he's met. His foster mom told me he'd been playing with a pomeranian and that she had to keep an eye on him. At first I thought it was because he's 50 lbs and the pom's little. But nooOOOOOooo, she had to watch because the POM got too rough!
Oh my, we don't want to tell any other dogs that Ole might get beat up by a pomeranian! [sm=rotfl.gif]
He's learning to use the crate just fine. I'm so relieved about that!
The donations covered all but the last $100 of the transport/vet costs, not counting the gas for my drive to and from Anchorage. If anyone still wants to help out, I sure don't mind, but I want to thank everyone who chipped in. No one donated a huge lump, just so you know, it was all done with accumulations of smaller amounts--just amazing!
I can't wait to take him hoooome! Sofia knows there is something going on, but since my son's name is Ole, too, I wonder if she thinks her boy is coming back?
The donation button is on my blog, link in my sig, below.
Wooo HoooOOOOooooo! Soon Ole will be here!!!!
