I'll cut to the chase and leave the story short. On friday we had a lovely funeral service for harry. On Saturday we went to the breeder's for lunch and they were absolutely
WONDERFUL to Josie. I honestly don't think anyone could be any kinder. I'm very grateful for everything they have done beyond words. She got some presents and puppy pictures of Harold and such. They were bound and determined to help us find her a great dog as well. (They are pretty versed on her story and how hard this year has been) So she came in and met the dogs and Rose ran up and gave her a big kiss. It was love at first sight. So needless to say, we ended up with little Rose riding home in the car with us. She's a show reject (sort of). She'd finish asap if she wasn't so shy. I honestly think she could if she was owner handled. She's a bit small, so pups are out of the question which makes showing a moot point anyways. But she is not that shy really. She was sent out too early by her first owner imo. She took right to us and was playing and such right away. The smoothest transition we've ever had. She turns two on June 7th and this is her third rehome (She was with the breeders, sold to show, went back to the breeders this January , and now given to us) ... She's definitely staying here forever. I may type out her whole story sometime soon, but for now pics! I know this is her home forever and ever. She's really fit right in, though at first she was not sure what to think of Trey.
Jo adores her. Absolutely adores her. They hit it off right off the bat really. We were all playing with the other dogs and we look over and Rose is giving Jo kisses on the face. The breeder asked her what she thought and then she said she loved her. Later on she asked if she wanted her, of course she said yes. Then she wanted to know when we could take her home. Which she was told right now if she wanted. She was so excited. At lunch she kept asking if they were serious or if they had changed their mind. We kept telling her no. She seems so happy. She took Rose out to go visit harry's grave where we buried his ashes. There's a little butterfly stepping stone out there too. I think Rose was aperfect fit really. She needed us and we sure needed her
Rose is settling in so well. She's already guarding the house and she's eating well and playing. She's not very toy motivated unlike the other two. She's completely potty trained (which is nice, I won't lie) and she hikes her leg to pee. O.o She cried when we put her in the pen to sleep, but we crated her and she did just fine after that.
Oh, and I gave the breeders a copy of that pic of Beau and Harry in the tub with their tongues sticking out and she laughed and laughed at that.
They were supposed to show a dog or two saturday, but they scratched so they could met up with us.
Stinky dogs must take baths to meet up with relatives
