*update* Dogs die March 7th

The shelter I volunteer at would take them and they would not be euthanized for space even being owner surrenders.  I was checking their stats and in 2006 only one single animal (a cat) was euthanized for space.  I have worked with several adult GSDs there (I go to them b/c the other volunteers usually prefer smaller dogs) and they have all been adopted quite quickly, even one old one that was missing and eye and another that would only be released to a GSD savvy person.  The MIGSD rescue has tried to make contact and just got a snotty response.  There are other GSD rescues that have huge networks and can quickly transport dogs across the country, but hardly anyone is getting a response from the contact given in the postings.  You'd think if it were so urgent they would be checking for messages and responding...Heck I would keep these dogs at MY house if it was that or death.

Could you call them? Once you have the clinic on the phone - you can be more demanding in your answers.
