    Cat problem

I have a cat that ,according to neighbors, was dumped in our neighborhood. He came up to me and I made the mistake of picking him up and petting him..Now he is becomming a regular and I am affraid my dogs will ge him.

He has no home..I should probably take him to the shelter..My dogs kill cats..I don't normally like cats that much, but feel like I ought to do something..

It's funny how cats just seem to "fall from the sky"  If you think your puppers will hurt him, I would take him to a shelter.  It's hard but it would be better for the kitty.  At least there, he will have a chance to have a good life!

problem being, the local shelters won't even accept them...I will have to call around and see if there are openings..I don't know whats the matter with me...I should never have picked it up//

I should never have picked it up

somebody had to. Life for cats in such a situation is difficult. It sounds heartless but I'd rather see a cat be PTS than have to live life as a stray trying to survive on its own.
At least you are trying to do something for him. Many people would walk past

I can't help but tryto do something...It is in my yard as soon as i walk out my door.If my dogs get close enough, the cat won't stand a chance.

called all the local shelters, and they are full...

Do you know anyone that is a cat person.  I know there is someone in my neighborhood that has a crap load of cats.  Or another lady that is a customer here at the place I work has 14 cats.  I'm sure if you told them your situation they would take the cat.  Or someone that has a farm?  Just ask around to family and friends.

That's no good.  Poor kitty!  I can't help myself, if a stry shows up here, it ends up becomming part of the family!  We moved into our new place about 7 months ago and not long after we were settled, I heard a kitty crying one night while I was out with the dogs.  I found him stuck in a tree!  After about an hour I finally coaxed him down.  I figured that he would be wild but he was just as sweet as he could be.  Used to dogs and kids too.  My guess is that someone dropped him off since we do live way out in the country.  He's only about a year old.  I named him Skittles!  He's great at catching moles!  He's here to stay!!!
