    Mindless Chatter - tues

Yesterday was never ending! It started at 3:30 am with Dakota, then the new job, then moving boxes around at the new job (wasn't expecting that), oh and I had a house guest so there was that, then learning new job, then racing to the drug store to pick up prescription, dinner and then taking lily to training class. Then grocery shopping and picking up a new coffee pot and such and finally falling in to bed at 11pm. I don't think I've ever been that tired.

Today I go back to my old job. I'm transitioning to the new job over the next 2 weeks so my time is split between the 2. It's going to be tough to change gears like that.

    Is the weekend here yet?

Dh is so grumpy with his job.  Its a relief when he leaves in the am - bum humbug.

feeling a little down again as I always feel so overwhelmed with marketing, just hate it

Bugsy ate a piece of rib bone last night so I'm anxious about that.  he was right next to DH who I twice said to I think he's got a piece of bone, DH looked at him and went back to reading.  I went over to check and Bugsy swallowed.  Please God let it pass through Tongue Tied

Yes DH is on my nerves at the moment

on a bright note in our first day of fund raising for our dog walk we got $105 - very psyched

Well I am back to work today (YUCK) I like vacation! Of course my drive into work the weather was sucky! Man I want to win the lotto and retire Smile  I have gone through my email (not too bad) I have to turn my 'out of office' off my work email. Time to get back into the grind.

I got all my laundry done last night, I was proud of myself. My dogs didn't get walked but my legs were KILLING me. We hiked on Saturday in Indian Canyons, we walked probably about 3-4 miles. Then of course Sunday I sat in a cramped plane ALL DAY. My legs were so sore yesterday. I plan to do my walks at work today, my legs are better I only noticed the stiffness as I descended the stairs in the parking structure.

Morning came far too early today.  I've been awake since 4AM and not terribly happy about it.  I have a ton of stuff to do today and its not going to help much not having had enough sleep.

First up is to get the dogs out for their romp since we're due for two days of really bad weather.  Want to get that done early so it CAN get done.  It's looking like the next two days are really going to suck weatherwise.  And I need to run into town to pick up a few things BEFORE the weather gets really bad.  Hate driving on bad roads with idiots who don't seem to THINK the roads are bad.  I see more big SUV's with 4x4 in the ditches than little 2 wheel drive vehicles....and the BIG ones are more intent on passing and driving foolishly making it more dangerous for those of us who want to drive sanely.  And my Sportage IS an SUV, just a smaller version of one.

Can anyone tell that our impending storms have put me in a crappy mood?  LOL.  Time for more coffee.

Glenda I am now finishing my 4th cup of coffee - double my norm Whisper

i hate that I have been using this for the daily gripe lately - but can't help it.  Just got back from walking Bugs when I really really didn't feel like it today.  Just for once could he be up for a stroll?  So he's a pain in the butt the whole way and about half way back we are startled by 6 deer who stop about 25 ft in front of us and they and he get into the stare down.  Eventually they head back into the woods and leave me with psycho.

Then about a quarter of a mile from home we see a lab pup and he gets all waggly etc.  The woman with the lab decides to turn around and run a way.  Great.  Yes my evil dog is walking down the same street he will eat you and your pup  aarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggghhhhhhh

pwah is it Friday? Or at least 5 o'clock?

Things are now ready to move. I'm planning a 5k race for real now. I just confirmed with the race timer last night and sent the info to the guy at the park. So, now I really have to get to work big time to get sponsors to pay for this thing. I also need to get off my butt today and get my oil changed. I'm doing just great considering that I am sitting in bed watching Regis & Kelly. I'm gonna get up and get moving soon though.

I am full of the joys of spring today!  The weather is beautiful (11 degrees and sunny....that's 52F), I actually got a decent night's sleep and am just generally feeling spiffy.  The only problem is now there's a bunch of stuff I want/need to do....walk Ben, laundry, clean the house generally, work (have already done a bunch this morning) rearrange a few pieces of furniture, go buy some flowers and cook a nice dinner.  I'm not going to have time for everything, it's already 2:30...argh!

Lol, before I read the 52F part, I was thinking "11 degrees?? Spring??!" Stick out tongue

I am quite jealous of you, Kate.  It's cold and ugly here in the good 'ole midwest.  I would love to start enjoying spring!

Today is looking to be good.  My younger sister and brother have a choir concert tonight, so DH and I are going to that.  I've also found a really neat pattern for a baby blanket that I want to make my boss.  It's got an adorable ripple pattern, and has four different colors.  I think I'm going with baby blue, soft green, white, and silvery gray. (She's having a boy).

And I'm waiting for a call-back from Honor's training facility.  They're supposed to be letting me know when their next rally class starts.  I'm super-excited about the prospect of doing that with Honor!

I finally got around to checking out the new Costco (only 8 miles away) and what I really wanted was a jar of their amazing pesto sauce - which I couldn't find. I was told to check with the supervisor who would check his computer.  So he assures me that they do have it, then asks if I want it in white or red.  Say what?  I told him I wanted it in green.  He tells me that they don't have it in green, just red and white.  I explained to him that pesto sauce doesn't come in red or white.  It's made with basil which is green, so it only comes in green. He just looked at  me funny, telling me again that I could only have it in white or red.  So I left with my fruit salad, bagel dogs, water and NO pesto sauce. Crying Guess I may have to drive to Vacaville after all.

Don't you hate when you try to have someone help you, and they end up being useless? Jeeze, I hate that!

It is going to POUR here. And I have class in 15 minutes :*( :*( and will probably get very wet. Winds up to 30 mph., tornado watches, the whole kit and kaboodle. I hate weather like this!

Bleh. I swear there's nothing better than finding a store where people actually know and care about what they are selling! You just can't find that at big chain stores, you know?

What to do tonight to exercise the dogs? It's snowy and crappy out in general. They do need some exercise though but I heard that the dog park is really icy. Decisions decisions...

Thanks for a good chuckle Joyce. I wish I could've been nearby to hear the conversation. They have a nice pesto sauce at TJs too.

It's a gorgeous day here too and is supposed to be 70 on Thursday - woohoo!

I have to leave early to meet with the State Farm guy. Normally I'd be happy to leave early but I'm actually really annoyed about having to go over insurance stuff.  Sleep

DH has been worrying over layoff rumors and I've been telling him it won't happen, but now I'm not so sure. It was only a few years ago that he got laid off from a tech job and we thought that getting on with the city as a firefighter would be as secure as it gets, but apparently not :(

    • Gold Top Dog
That sucks about DH losing his firefighting spot :( BF's dad is a higher-up in law enforcement here, and he said that because of stupid Florida Amendment 1 he has to lose close to a dozen guys. Yep, sure am glad we cut property taxes a little.
    • Gold Top Dog

Bleh. That amendment really is going to screw us over, royally. BF works in government, and is not sure if he'll still have a job in a year - they all are.

The weather is so not good right now. Pouring rain, windy..... and of course - since it's FL, it's humid.

    • Gold Top Dog
Oh my GOSH, it just thundered louder than I have ever heard!!

Pirate is such a goof, though. It kaboomed, and he got up from his spot, stretched, and laid back down. ROFL.
