Nope.  You're neither blind nor stupid.  The pic just represents a man showing respect for another culture while he's visiting another country.  If he had gone to Mexico and had a picture taken wearing a sombrero and a serape would anyone be making an issue out of that?

I've been thinking about the middle name thing.  You know how people refer to President Bush as "W".  I was wondering if elected people would reefer to Obama as "H".  I could see some confusing stemming from the "H" thing though, for instance maybe not sure the if the "H" was something in regards to past drug use, of simple the middle name being Hussein.  Well, in all honesty I think it is what you would call a moot point.  "H" may win the democratic nominee, but I see a landslide victory for McCain in a Presidential race.

I was watching the news last night and they were going on about how it was bad form for McCain to use his middle name. That is another one I do not get, after all it is HIS middle name. Why is it bad form to use it?

Thanks for posting that.  I didn't know a lot of those things, but most of it sounds pretty good to me.  For me, there's no such thing as "too liberal" - that would  be like saying there are too many chocolate chips in my cookies.

 I have to agree with Snownose on this one. I was skeptical of Obama before reading his views on the issues. Now I am scared.
