    Mindless Chatter - Sat

Well, here we go again. Another flipping 8 hr class to take up my entire Sat. I really need to adjust my attitude about this but it's soooo hard.

Dakota's tummy is getting worse these days it seems. The anti-diarrhea meds aren't helping like they used to. I'm torn about what to do with her food. I'm scared to switch it but I'm thinking that maybe she should be on something like California Natural. Wet food? dry food? CN or Canidae? Who the heck knows! I think I will try some CN. Maybe that'd be easier to digest. Either way, I had to shove her meds down her throat because she wouldn't eat this morning. She's acting fine though otherwise. I took her to the dog park yesterday and she was really happy to be there.

I need to make some time to get to the gym.

Last night I was so exhausted. I conked out hard before I even knew it! I was intending to watch a movie and I don't even think that I made it past the opening credits.

Off to agility class in five minutes.  I think we're running outside, which is always an adventure!  Ben still gets distracted sometimes because of the fox wee that is all over the field.  If we're outside, hopefully we're doing full-height jumps, which Ben needs to do more of.

I've got chicken hot dogs, which he goes batty for... that will help keep him focused on me.

We are getting a lovely interlude between nasty weather.  Yesterday was close to 30 degrees and SUNSHINE, today looks to be the same and tomorrow is actually going to be above freezing!  Of course we have another storm moving in on us Tuesday......focus on the sunshine, forget more snow on it's way...focus on the sunshine......

The dogs got a lovely romp through the woods yesterday and have been promised another one this morning.  And then I'm off to adoption day yet again.  This has become a regular weekend thing, but I really enjoy the dogs so what the heck.

Will hopefully have some EXCELLENT good news to share by the end of next week..........

BFs mom came home with a puppy last night!!  She is the cutest thing!  She is a mix, 8 weeks old and tiiiiiny.  They said maltese x yorkie.  They were looking at getting a full yorkie, but saw that it looked too much like zoey, so the cross was better.

I will post pictures in the photo section soon!

Today is BF and I 3 year anniversary.  We have a BUSY weekend lol, today we have to go to the post office and mail our ebay things which we were up paking last night until midnight, then we have to go pupy shopping for toys and whatnot, then a couple of our friends are supposed to come up during the day, then we are going to dinner at rendevous (the BES greek restaurant in town!) and then two other friends are coming up and staying the night tonight with us.  Tomorrow we have to go up to Orangeville to see these new townhomes that are going up, we have an appointment at 2:40 for those lol, and then we have to go grocery shopping for the week's lunches!

    GAAAAAH.

Willow feels Dakota's pain.  There are so few things she can eat and be OK too.

Today we are up early to hike before we have to run a few errands to the post office and bank.  Then she's got a grooming appointment at 11am and I'm getting my hair done at noon.

We got a ton of snow and ice yesterday so we will see how it is out tonight before we make any plans.  But, I did want a new vacuum since I killed the Dyson last week.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

OH NO! what happened? I almost bought one yesterday! My hoover has about hit the dust...plus i dropped it all the way down the stairs the other day and it's been stinking since.

Yesterday we bought a 42" hitachi plasma! woohoo!

bleh. it's raining and thundering here today. The little girls behind me woke me up, screaming who knows what.... =/

Casey went to the park yesterday, and had a great time with my friends yellow lab and this other very pretty golden. I was hoping to go again today... but if this weather continues, I'm just going back to bed!

Polly's getting spayed on Wednesday - then off to find her new home! She's a great puppy, but it'll be nice to just be Casey and I for a few days. Housetraining is coming along great - she went 2 days with no accidents (I was home for most of those days). Had one yesterday, but it was on the way outside - poor pup couldn't hold it a few more steps.

Oh no!  Bummer!  How do you kill a Dyson?  I was kind of hoping they were indestructible.

I got a new laptop yesterday! - I had Toshiba M100 until the beginning of last year, which I loved until it got stolen and I replaced it with a Lenovo (at my tech friend's recommendation). HATED IT. Don't buy a Lenovo, if you're considering laptops. Anyway, my mum's partner's laptop has died (power surge), and so she's buying my Lenovo, and I got a new Toshiba M200 (14.1", Core 2 duo, 1.66GHz, 2G RAM, 160GB HDD) for a steal. It feels like home again LOL.

Today feels like such a long day.  I couldn't sleep in since I fell asleep before midnight last night.  There was this show on Spike that was showing all these crazy videos of disasters and such and I watched it for like 5 hours!  Ok, but I did take a break to run for 45 minutes.  I'm in a better mood now that my scale is moving down again.  As of today, I've officially lost 20lbs since New Years.  I tried on all my old swim suits, hehe, took some pics for future reference.  DH has lost 25 and today his jeans looked ridiculous so tomorrow we are going shopping.  I tried to take the dogs on a walk, but there's so much ice on everything and they were both pulling like crazy, I came back after 1/2 mile and let them wrestle in the yard instead.  Dh works until 8pm and then he's going to an X-box night which is fine by me since I've downloaded several movies I want to catch up on.

Today was not a fun work day. I put something new on the schedule for the first kid I worked with. He was not happy with this, and I got whacked for it. Oh well, I'm going to continue to put it on there and make his butt do it. Eventually he'll tolerate it, and maybe even like it. His mom got it for him for christmas, and it's a pretty worthwhile educational toy, but he won't play with it properly, or really even play with it at all, unless he's taught how to do it. Long story short, I look to being whacked a few more times over this one.

My second job... that kid had some nasty bad gas and stank like heck today. To add too it, the kid has absolutely no aim when he goes to the bathroom. So yeah, he stank. Between that and something else he did, I actually threw up. That'll be a different reason for not liking it than they've ever had before. I can picture the conversation now...."No, I've got no issues with his mother, but the kid stinks like something horrible."

On another crummy note, the zipper on my coat is breaking, so I need to go get a new one. I would have gotten it today, but I know I don't have much in my checking account. My dad forgot to bring my one paycheck home today, the other one I should be getting didn't come today, so I hope it does show up on Monday. I know for sure though that I will be getting paid tomorrow, but I have no time to go out and look for a new coat after I get that check, nor do I have the time on Monday. Hopefully they still have something on sale in my size till I get to the store on Tuesday.

I worked today. A helper and I worked on something for quite a well. The supervisor came along and decided he wanted it differently. Which is fine. I don't have feelings to get hurt. It's all good. So, we took apart what we did and started over. OTOH, being a Saturday and getting there early, I got to park where I wanted to. Very convenient for me. Normally, we have to park in a dirt patch quite a bit away from the building. Since I am a lead person, I could park in the parking lot all the time but I don't abuse the privilege. I will park there if it's raining and I think it's too muddy to get in and out of the mud lot.

Watched Tiger Woods play golf today..... http://www.abcnews.go.com/Sports/wireStory?id=4334766  That was pretty fun - even when the loudmouth behind us at the 18th kept hollering "YEAH! Tiger!!" about 15 times, after it was clear that Stenson had acquiesced.  What an absolutely perfect weather day we had!!!  GORGEOUS!!

Tomorrow is the Rodeo finals, so more to look forward to.  Maybe next weekend we can watch some Baseball spring training. Apparently, the AZ Diamondbacks, and the Chicago White Sox train here, too, just a different field than the Rockies.

Making brownies right now.  Anyone want some?  *passes around the tray*

Mmmm, brownies. Do they have frosting? Mmmm.
