    Excercise/Stimulating farm dogs (nasty weather)

My riding instructors asked me if I could go feed/exercise their dogs this weekend because they are going to Florida. I said I would because I love all the guys but I didn't know the weather was going to by so nasty. It rained last night and now its drizzling and its kind of cold. There are 5 dogs: Tucker male Australian cattle dog, Abby female Australian cattle dog, Coco female chocolate lab, Rugger female chocolate lab, and Only male Aussie beagle mix. TACR are all older dogs except for Only who is months old. Tucker loves to chase balls as well as everybody (they bought them a chuckit and I have one) but I really want to get them tired so that when they come back home they don't have dogs full of energy. They live in a farm about 30+ acres of land and their neighbor has an 8 acre pond that the dogs love to swim in. I was thinking about playing with them for 2 good hours and do some training with each one individualy and after they have rested feed them. Does that sound good for a pack full of energy?

I think it is an excellant idea.  Last weekend was cold and rainy all weekend.  Our new pup Rocky was going stir crazy.  I bundled up, took him outside in the rain.  We played ball, we fed the birds and squirels, we went to the mail box.  Got soaking wet and ran and played then we both came back in and took a 2 hour nap.  It was great for both of us.

I will be going today and doing the above (hopefully if it doesn start raining). If anybody have any suggestions or ideas let me know.
