Mindless chatter - FRIDAY!!!

another busy day - praying the big black imp doesn't drive me crazy again - yesterday was a pain.  So I baby gated him in the office with me and he discovered he can look out the window and watch the squirrels so now he is pawing at the window to get out, sigh............................
 

Can you send him to me?  He and Ben can wear each other out.

I need more coffee, and maybe some food.  I really, really want a pizza.

Nothing exciting going on here today. I just have to say I LOVE FRIDAYS!

Anyone want to help me paint the nursery this weekend? I've been putting it off for a long time.

Rascal is busy playing with his new Hide-A-Squirrel, which my cousin gave him for his birthday (yesterday!) when she came over for dinner.

It's snowing like crazy out here and I'm really, really sick of winter... I miss California and want it to be springtime already  

I had a great time at Supper Club last night.  I really love that group of girls and I laughed so hard it hurt more than once last night.  There is no better therapy than a good belly laugh!

On another note I am worried sick right now.  I work in a very small office.  Just me, my boss and an administrative person, Lynn.  We work in pretty close quarters and are all very close.  Lynn has a son who is mentally ill.  He has been living in a group home.  He comes and goes as he pleases and has always befriended the wrong kind of people.  People who want to take advantage of him.  Well, he has been missing for 4 days now.  He usually calls his mother no less than 10 times a day during the hours of 8-5 while we are at work but typically more than that.  He hasn't called her or contacted her in 4 days now.  She keeps in pretty good contact with all the people he befriends and no one has seen him.  They have filed a police report, called the morgue, called the jail and are trying to find out about a local mental facility here where police often take people they pick up off the street.  I am worried sick for her.  I can't imagine how she feels right now.  I am fearing the worst. 

Courtney, if you want to come visit, we have warm albeit wet weather here.  Everything is starting to bloom again. 

I am still sleepy.

We went to the Clinton-Obama debate last night, & I was wired afterwards.  I didn't get to bed until around 2 this morning, & I had to be in the office early for a 7am meeting.  I am in serious need of coffee.

My nieces are going to be staying with me for a while.  My brother dropped them off last night when we got home.  They have only met BF once, so I'm sure that there is going to be a "getting to know you" period, before we can all settle into a daily routine.  BF took them to school this morning.  I'm assuming that everything went ok, because BF hasn't called me to tell me otherwise...

Sarah, that's really scary. I hope he's ok. 

Hard to believe it is Friday already.

Taking the kids skiing tonight. I haven't gone in about 3 weeks, so it should be fun.

I've got to figure out a gift for my wife for her birthday next week......hmmmmm...

 What day is her Bday? Don't forget that G-ma J's bday is this sunday - 81.

Tomorrow is my 3 year anniversary with BF, and he got flowers delivered to my office :D  and they are my FAVOURITE flower, the gerber daisies!  There are sooo many of them!

Well, it's not snowing here, but it's raining and dreary. We're supposed to have another huge storm come in tomorrow night, with wind gusts up to 70 MPH. At least DH will be home for this storm and he can worry over the fences blowing down

Sassy was sick this morning and threw up bile. She rarely gets sick and I can't remember anytime she's done it in the morning before eating. I almost wanted to call in sick so I could stay home and watch her and make sure it isn't something serious, but I couldn't. She seemed eager to eat breakfast, so maybe (hopefully) it was just a passing thing. Of course, I'll worry all day though.

I'm going to lunch with 3 girls I used to work with and haven't seen in a couple years and we're going out for Mexican food - yay!!!

Today's been alright so far.  I'm waiting anxiously for a call from my doctor, because he's supposed to call me about my xrays today.  (Short backstory: I crushed my own foot rolling over it in my desk chair...high-level stupidity there!).  He's pretty positive my big toe is broken, as it's puffed HUGE and grinds and wiggles when you press on the bones.  But he was really concerned that I fractured some of the bones in the top of my foot, and I hope that they're not broken!  That would mean a cast, and I don't want one. I'm hoping that it's just really sore.  Stupid roll-y chair.  It's a deathtrap, and I'm sitting in it now.

I just feel sort of bad for Honor.  There's a LOT of pain when I'm standing, so we're playing tons of fetch sitting down.  She seems pretty happy about it, but she hasn't been able to have her normal walk today because of my gimpy appendage.  I'm trying to allay my guilt by giving her all sorts of new and exciting toys and bones.  Luckily, DH gets home at 2pm, so he can take her for a long walk then!

Breaking a toe HURTS. :( I'm sorry. Ouchies. I broke my second-biggest toe and it hurt like the dickens - I was on crutches for like 2 weeks! And I did that tripping over 2 tiny stairs in a hallway while borrowing BF's slippers. Ugh.

It's blizzarding like madcrazy here! I can barely see out my window! So glad I don't have to drive anywhere today :)
